Hello. This is a friend of JB (dumpstermagic)
Jay passed away sometime around the end of November. I was named in his will to receive pieces of his property including his laptop that i am posting on now. I'm writing a few posts on his various social medias to let his online friends know what happened.
He was found in his van deceased, cause of death was ruled as complications from heart disease, sleep apnea and alcohol abuse. He died in his sleep.
I knew Jay as a street musician, I met him at a bar a couple years back. We kept in touch and he ended up staying at my apartment frequently since October. He loved life, and encouraged everyone to get out of their comfort zone. I knew him as indomitable, constantly searching for the peak of his own experience. We climbed 3 mountains together, and had lots of good nights shared around a campfire. His dog and most of his personal affects have gone to his family. He was an only child, survived by both his adopted parents who are 70 years old. Out of respect for them I will not be linking the obituary. I hope whoever he was close to here understands. Jay was a really good dude, and inspired me to live my life a lot more recklessly and to have fun instead of be afraid. He lived and died how he wanted to, and that is something i will never forget. He will inspire me until the end of my life.
My heart goes out to all his online friends and people he touched. Please take a moment tonight to remember we all live and die in this world, and it's how we interact with each other that makes a difference. Thank you for reading this, and from Jay and myself, good bye.
I'll stay online for a little bit to reply to any questions anyone might have here and on a couple other sites.
