so i've been very frustrated with what method to use as i'm pretty scared of pain :( i'm choosing maybe i could go with water because it's one of the less scary options and doesn't involve any blood or my brains splattering all over the place. the second reason is to cause less distress to the people who will eventually found my body, a non gruesome sight, maybe i'll even switch to a far away river to not be found

i have a small bathtub that i'd need to lift my knees a bit to fit in, could use it
I heard drowning burns a lot and is painful, but apparently the struggle or ones survival insticts is the worst part of it? so if i'm doing it willingly and relaxing my muscles, it should make experience a bit better? curious as to how long it would take for me to lose consciousness or die. I heard about incidents of people falling asleep in bathtubs and apparently causing a painless death? I'd assume the person would wake up when they start to drown. as much as i want a painless death drowning probably has no option for painless lol

smth i really wanna know is: is it possible to practice drowning? I've never done it before so i'n thinking i could see how long i can endure the pain of it and eventually get used to it enough to make the final one less agonizing?

Please don't do it that way, that was my failed attempt two years ago (in my house there is a tropical fish store with water tanks that reach my waist and I thought I could do it at night without anyone noticing). Believe me, it was horrible, I tied myself to the bottom with very heavy things and even so the feeling that you desperately have to take a breath is so strong that I managed to get out of there (I suppose because of the adrenaline since they were very heavy things). I ended up injuring my back because the weight when I got up,because i got into a lying down position and I am thankful for at least not ending up with any type of brain damage. Please don't try it this way.

Drowning is painful not only because of SI but because your lungs will fill with water. One of the most unpleasant ways to die honestly, unless you are OUT COLD when it happens. If there is any chance your body can wake up, it will.

Exactly, if by any chance your body gets out of the water, it will manage to wake up and expel the water from the lungs and most likely with brain damage from time without oxygen.

Survival instinct is the worst part. The adrenaline that will build up will desperately make you reach for air. Unless you can't swim or are stuck. Even if you'll succeed, the pain isn't worth it.

i'm so sorry you went through that šŸ˜”honestly survival and whatever i might end up with when i do is one of my biggest worries about this method, I just assumed "water=no big deal" I'll take your word for it, i'll try to think of something else

What about taking pills before? Specifically zolpidem. I don't have enough to OD (exactly thirty nine 10mg pills), but maybe enough to knock me out before throwing myself off a bridge? If anyone could tell me, I'd be very thankful.
Sorry for reviving this old thread, I thought it'd be better than to take up space.

i am also curious about this... how much Zolpidem is needed for an OD anyway?
