If N would be my method, i would probably have light meals a few days before. Something even lighter on that day. I don't know to what extent an empty stomach will increase the chances to vomit. I guess it depends from one person to another.
One thing i would do, and that's personal, is choosing the moment after one last poop.

In my case yes. I'm already nauseous with an empty stomach and drinking something which doesn't taste very good might be too much for my stomach.
