  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Could I do this in the next room while my mother is sleeping? Wouldn't the only noises be snoring? Only problem is I have 9 hours before my mom comes to check on me, but shouldn't that be enough unless I'm unlucky and go into a prolonged coma?

Are you sick? Just curious about why you live with parents and get checked on. I'm hoping you're not young. I keep seeing mention of people that want to ctb at home while their parents sleep and it always instinctively makes me think they may be young and potentially under age. Obviously I understand there are many circumstances that would require somebody to live with their parents so I'm not jumping to conclusions or pointing fingers. Just concerned.

When it comes to timing or being found, it's a roll of the dice for anyone really but I imagine you would appear asleep if anybody was to walk in on you.

Some reasons -

1. Some of us are sick or bed-bound due to illnesses which is correct.
2. Some of us live in multi-generational homes due to cultural reasons. So my parents live with me.
3. Some of us live all together b/c our parents lost their homes due to a financial crisis etc.
4. My home is more comfortable than a cold hotel. I prefer to be near my bedsheets and etc. I know it sounds stupid.

In my case, I've been dealing with depression, which my parent's dont understand and they're very overbearing so they check on me once in a while. My parents don't want me to die b/c I am their wage slave. I wouldn't have mind that - if my father wasn't as toxic but I don't have the heart to kick him out. I can't wait another 10-20 years till he croaks. He smokes like a chimney yet he won't go. I'm tired of him. He makes the most toxic comments on earth. I want the world to know my parents are the main reason why I'm ctb.

Bad parents are a reel gripe of mine. Sometimes it's just a case of bad people that happen to be parents if that makes any sense. I guess it's all the same really.

Like I say, I'm not ignorant to the legitimate reasons that people might inhabit the same home as their parents and I'm certainly not judging. It's only because I see it so often on the forum that I mentioned it. Also, I wouldn't want to accidentally offer advice on things surrounding ctb to a minor so given the nature of things and OP's recent questions on the forum I thought I'd ask. We all have our issues and it sucks so I find some catharsis in being able to speak with people that understand this like me but it's so easy to misinterpret the faceless person on the net or make incorrect assumptions. Only way around it is to ask questions. I try to be tactful though.

We'll have to assume that people are over 18 unless this website wants to start scanning IDs like the exit forum.
I can see your concerns - in those cases, you just move on. Honestly, anyone can pretend to be any age on this forum.

Of course. It's more about being able to offer advice responsibly and with a clear conscience. It's the difference between seeing a thread and posting in it or seeing it and staying silent for fear of saying something I shouldn't to someone I shouldn't.

I live with my mom and I'm 45. I can't afford to live on my own especially since I've been suffering with depression for years. I wish my circumstances were different and that I wouldn't even end up on this site. I wish I loved life…

Too risky. You never know how long it takes. You need a 24 hour time frame. nembutal too expensive and hard to get. Be careful.
