I'm sorry if I post this where I shouldn't, but idk where else lol. I remember in the past when I was using my old account, I had this site installed as an app on my phone, but I can't for the life of me find out how I did that.
Does anyone know?

I don't think SS has an app. You mean like a "shortcut" you click on to take you right to the site?

It does have an app. I don't remember where I downloaded it, but it's on the site.

Yeah, I can't find it anymore either. But yhe app and website has no difference. App is a little more convenient tho

That's the same icon for the shortcut. You can just make a shortcut, it appears on your home screen like an app with that exact same icon, and you can name it whatever you want. It just directs you to this site. Imma be 100% honest, I don't see Apple or Google allowing this forum to have an app ever, so the shortcut is likely the best we're going to get.

Oh, I stand corrected! I thought I recalled seeing an app when I used to be on the site more often, but then the screenshot made me think it was the shortcut, and I thought it was just a false memory. Yeah, probably just gone now, I can't find any trace of it on the app store. Looking on the site, as of April 2024, the app still existed on the play store, but looking on my laptop, I can't seem to find anything about the app now.

Technically, it's not a native app. It's called a progressive web app. If you open the site in chrome in a non-private browsing tab, you'll be given the option to "Add to home screen". It will then prompt you to install an app. It's not quite the same as a shortcut, since it won't open chrome when you click on it. It does look and behave like a unique app, but really its just chrome underneath. This is on Android btw, not sure how this would work on iOS.

Yeah sure google probably got rid of it because it didn't meet their "code of conduct" clause or some such nonsense. Tbh, I was certainly around back in April of 2024, and I just don't remember any app, or even talk of an app, but I just might not have been paying attention either.

Are there any archive repositories for apps that get taken down from PlayStore? Then again it might not even work anymore if this site has been modified, which I'm sure it has, and the app hasn't been maintained, which I'm sure it hasn't.
