Im sure others would be wondering that I have so many issues, but it's just true. Each thing makes me suicidal. My country is going through a lot economically, there is a lot of inflation, political crises and the army has all the power. Corruption is immensely high and we have little to zero rights. Cops harass people for money. Im really scared with the way things are going and each day I think it's best if I leave this world, but then I think I should stall it and wait. Like the dollar rate has risen at an all time high, poverty is rampant and everyone feels trapped. Crime rate is increasing day by day. Honestly, we are one of the lucky ones, but still it hurts me deeply seeing the current situation for how it is.

No, my reason for wanting to CTB is much more.. personal. I feel bad for the people who CTB because they're poor or mistreated, however if you CTB because someone you don't like is in office I think thats not very bright

I understand that. I have so many reasons that are personal that cause me to lean towards CTB, but I think each little thing takes a huge toll on a person until they finally crumble.

No but it definitely adds to the hopelessness, mainly inflation and the cost of housing. With my health problems, even if things were great I'd still be up shit creek.

Yes, it definitely creates a lot of uncertainty.

Not a primary reason but it definitely adds to how bad it is and how the future won't look any better than the present. The crime, poverty, corruption, social disorder, violence and general apathy is just a lot at this point, it makes it all pointless. It just compounds onto it with very little prospects to even hope for some kind of a better future. You really think about how life is made harder thanks to all of this, on top of whatever personal problems people face and Internal struggles they have to deal with.

absolutely. knowing i can work my ass off all day every day and still barely afford to feed and house myself makes everything feel hopeless and pointless. Climate change is another reason too, which no country is safe from. Patiently awaiting droughts and mass crop failures, but still getting called in to work.

Yeah. Each thing adds up slowly

And then add in the tension of it all, the anger and frustration of millions of people who cannot seem to find their footing no matter how much they try, it's just crazy.

Yeap, no country doesn't seem to be reaching any sort of long term stability, much less countries like mine which are on the brink of something catastrophic, it definitely makes me want to ctb before things get really, really bad.

It definitely contributes. My biggest issue is social isolation, which comes from being stuck in an area I'm not accepted.
Stack being unsure whether I can afford the constantly rising bills to at least survive? Rising temperatures, laws becoming more and more restrictive?
Looking future-bound, at economic and political prospects, the realist in me knows I won't have the opportunity to feasibly get out of where I am - which is a location of heavy childhood trauma, so...

Yeah, makes me wanna do it while I still can afford a decent plan, before it all just gets worse and worse.
Feeling trapped and powerless just sucks.

It definitely is contributing to my desire to no longer be alive. My country is sliding into authoritarian christo fascism. And I'd rather be dead than live in that. Well tbh, I'd rather the christo fascists were dead, bit I have no control over that. Voting is pointless. The economy only works for the wealthy. There isn't a support structure to help people with complex issues like myself. Sometimes I wish someone WOULD nuke my country. it deserves it and then I could just be vaporized.

Yes! Everyone's so angry and bitter nowadays, we're all on edge (even those not wanting to ctb). It's hard to make connections.
The economy only works for the wealthy.
Yes, doesn't matter who you vote for, you're screwed. Poor will stay poor. And rich will tell poor they are poor because they are lazy. While sitting on yachts working 2 hours a day committing felonies they'll never be held accountable for. But fuck me for stealing rice so I don't starve.

Yes and I expect my situation is far easier than yours. I feel lucky that I'm not afraid at least- I feel awful for you. Still, the cost of living is ridiculous. Plus, honestly, I just hate how corrupt this world and our governments are. I used to have so much national pride being british. I still love our countryside and our traditions. Still- you start watching documentaries about finance etc. and you realise just how rotten and corrupt it all is at the core. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and you realise you probably shouldn't feel proud but ashamed of your country.

I think utopia, or whatever a world people find acceptable to live in, is a transient state and short-lived. It's not the result of any deliberate attempt to create a certain system or ideology. Those are really lucky to be able to live their whole life in utopia. Many people live wholly or partly in war.

A bit. My main reason to CTB are my mental health issues. And other personal problems.

But the stress because of the polarisation, the hopelessly failing climate policy's, insane high housing prices and a looming ww3 does not help.
