Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Basically the title, I have one of these in my basement, y'all have probably seen one of these bars in a school gym or something.

I weigh around 70kg btw. I just wanna know if it'll break during an attempt at full suspension hanging.

I would probably be worried about what if I latch onto the lower bars with my feet in survival instinct and somehow manage to pull myself up and loosen the noose?

I've thought about that but i think it might be a good thing because the way i see it in order to latch on to the lower bars you need enough motor function where you have to be conscious so I can back out while conscious but once I fall unconscious there's no going back. Kind of like a more sophisticated stool.

Also I'm leaning more towards using the metal railings at the top of a bunk bed anyways so these bars are more of a backup plan.

Will this not get broken? It looks rickety... Please check if it is sturdy enough by putting your weight on a bar. The railings of the bed may be better.

Attach the ligature to the top and then pull as hard as you can while walking away from it. If it falls from doing that, it won't support your weight.

My main concern here isn't breakage but rather it toppling over if it isn't securely bolted to the wall or floor.

Oh it's bolted to the wall fine I can tell you that lol.

I'll still test what you said just in case.

Yeah, test the strength of the bolts. Also test the strength of the horizontal poles by getting underneath them and pulling the ligature downwards with all of your strength - try to swing around like Tarzan if you can!
