  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

This bridge is close to my house. You can walk along the river underneath, and there's a path up a hill to get onto the ledge. Can you gauge from the photo how many stories it is? The water isn't deep and there's plenty of big rocks just under the surface. Do you think if I jumped off it would the impact be enough to kill me?

UPDATE: Thank you for the replies. I think it'll be best if I don't go with this bridge. As others here have said, I don't want to end up severely injured.

Hard to tell from the photo but it doesn't look nearly high enough to kill you. I for sure wouldn't attempt. If it went wrong you'd be in a world of hurt

Okay thank you. Wasn't sure about this method as there aren't that many high places where I live

I'm willing to bet there's probably a 99.9% chance that you'd survive the jump.

It could kill you (especially if your head hits the rocks first ). But its not guaranteed. For that I think you do need to be higher .

I would look for a higher jump or different method. Too much risk that u would probably be injured and dying in agonizing pain. What if u were saved and a parapeligic.

Is there anyway you could find more information about the bridge in terms of its architecture?
It's hard to tell from the picture you have provided.

If you are determined to jump, from this location or any other, please jump head first. It will be quick and painless.

If you are not an experienced diver I wouldn't recommend because of body rotation.
There is no way of knowing how you would land..

I've been looking everywhere to find more information on it. All I could find is the year is was built (1861)

no if your jumping into the water as you'd most likely just end up hurt.

Hell no. I would never jump from anywhere unless it was a really tall skyscraper height.
