Does swollen tongue go away days later after hanging?

Does a protruded swollen tongue go back to itself after hanging. Just temporary, or stays the same?
Or you stick out your tongue to everyone that's paying your lasts respects that week ;)

No, it doesn't but if it's gonna be an open casket, there are things a mortician does to make the corpse presentable.

All muscles are completely relaxed, including the muscles in the tongue. The only way for it to go "back to normal" would be from physical force.
