To those that have attempted hanging and failed - did it hurt? Was it terrifying? Did it feel like your eyes were exploding?
i attempted
partial hanging - whereby the objective is to
constrict the carotid arteries (a blood choke), rather than the windpipe. if done correctly, it will be
painless and quick.
during my attempt,
i did not feel any pain. rather,
i felt a little pressure in the front of my forehead. my vision started to go black from the peripherals inward, and i started to see fuzzy colours before blacking out.
i failed because my rope was not secure to my anchor point, and i slipped to the floor.
With full hanging you have to block carotid arteries too or can it be neglected because the gravity will decide over the loop position on your neck anyway?
i think that with full suspension hanging, you are not able to constrict the carotid arteries due to the placement of the rope - although, i have not done extensive research into this method, so i may be wrong.
although, granted that your knots are secure, you can't touch the ground after kicking the chair + other factors -
full suspension hanging is thought to be 100% reliable. whether it's painless or not, quick or not - you will die eventually.
It's impossible to pass out via your hands, so don't expect to do so btw
it is, in fact, possible to pass out by constricting your carotid arteries using your fingers - although, SI will prevent this for many people trying.
