Personally, I guess I would be considered "mixed race" depending on how somebody would classify it. My dad is Hispanic and my mom is white. It's sort of a strange feeling, especially in current times, to be of this origin. My family lives in a completely different state away from either sides of my extended family so I've never really felt immersed in one over the other. I think with the, at least what feels like, recent rise in racism recently its definitely made me question those aspects about myself. This post is kind of incoherent but that's fine I guess.

To me, we are ALL human.

Now every culture brings their food, clothing, art and other customs, however they all work together, to make all of us stronger.

Being German heritage in the U.S., growing up, it was all about Germans and their wonderful culture and technology.

To that I say, so what? As I will never have a label put on me and I would NEVER EVER put a label on anyone, anytime, anyplace period.

If the human race is NOT going to go the route of the dinosaurs, then we better start working, thinking AND pulling TOGETHER.

Yeah I'm two different minority races, and there's a lot of racism between the two. So I'm just hated either way and not fully accepted by either. Sorry to hear you're struggling with a similar thing.

If my wife and I ever have kids they'll be mixed race. I don't see any issue. Statistically they'll be a little more likely to be good at math and a little less likely to win a 40 yard dash but most of us are in the middle of most bell curves so those population differences don't effect us on an individual level too much if at all.

Half Hispanic half white probably just looks Italian anyway which is usually just called white and do you see how silly this sentence is before I even finish? Like who cares.

I think it's nice to think about your heritage, but it should never be a cause of concern.

This might be controversial, but I feel like the majority will never truly know what it's like to be a minority, especially in melting pots like the US. I really could not see the strong white man feeling the way I do about the way I look.

Not sure what you meant by this. But as a white make just going to say most of us don't feel that strong. We have the highest suicide rate of any group and it's by a lot. We're struggling too. The 1% don't represent us, just like with any other group.

Yeah, but how much of that is over the fact that you're white?

Well, zero. Why would that matter?
I mean... That was the original point. I have been made fun of countless times over the fact that my skin isn't a shade of creamish-white. However, you on the other hand, I'd wager that doesn't happen too often to.

This is in danger of going off the rails but yes I've been harassed. But I don't want this confrontational. Honestly I think most suffering comes from the ultra rich regardless of race.

everyone's got internal hateful thoughts which conflicts with their sociopolitical views. I don't pay too much attention to it unless I'm actively verbalizing that thought with the intention of hurting someone or if there's a chance of my thought impacting my actions. We can rarely control everything that goes in our mind, the whole world around us is a source for experience, what we internalize in our brain isn't always by choice.
