Discussion Does anyone else hear suicidal voices?

Like voices that tell you to kill yourself but these are separate from your own thoughts? As if there's people living in your head that are also suicidal and they're trying to get you to CTB so they can die too? Also I am aware they aren't real.

Yeah, sometimes. Idk if its the same but its like loud constant intrusive thoughts. Like someone is forcing themselves into my head but I still know they are my own thoughts. And when it gets bad it feels like people are yelling at me to kms 24/7. It gets impossible to suppress. Im not sure if u mean like this or distinct hallucinations. Either way I'm sorry that's happening to you, that really sucks man. I hope things get better for u.

I'm sorry, I think we all struggle with negative thoughts here whether it's our own or it sounds like someone else. I hope one day we can be free from our pains

you can still experience hallucinations even if you're aware they aren't real. Cleveland Clinic also says that, "a person may perceive auditory hallucinations as coming through their ears, on the surface of their body, in their mind or from anywhere in the space around them."

iirc, Kevin Hines (golden gate jumper survivor) also heard voices that told him to kill himself.

When I remember how much my life sucks, I occasionally will hear a voice in my head saying something along the lines of "it's fine, I won't be around for much longer", then I imagine myself hanging from a tree while getting comforted by the voice. hehe.

This does sound super comforting although the mental image of you hanging from a tree disturbs me due to human instinct.

considering you said the voices are urging you to kill yourself, that's concerning to me. I'd recommend taking a read of this article. talking with a therapist about it may help you cope with the voices and understand it better. no need to panic, though. I definitely do think reaching out to some kind of mental health professional can help. sorry to sound like a robot lol. I'm not a psychologist so I don't know too much about this subject matter, but there are resources out there.

It's okay lol, I'd get professional help but can't afford it at the moment.
