My threads are too long, so i will be brief:

- When I was a depressed suicidal teen, I used to read Nostradamus, and hope the world would end. Nope.

- I believe in God, although not in any religion, or that God is there to "help" us or whatever. I believe that God might destroy the world one day, so I used to live, hoping that he would destroy it asap. These days, I have lost faith in that. Nope.

- Whenever I witness really bad, loud thunder and lightning, my brain says for a split-second: "Could it be the end?!!! No. Don't be stupid. You're not that lucky!". Nope.

- Whenever I would hear news-reports of an asteroid heading for earth, I would be in anticipation of it. Gradually, I learned that no asteroid is ever coming to save me from this existence. Nope.

- Sorry if this triggers, but I was hoping for Russia to nuke us out of existence, but then I realized no president wants nuclear warfare. In the past, I had hoped Iraq or NKorea would nuke us. It never happens. Nope.

- I hoped the Mayans were right about 2012. Nope.

Decades of DISAPPOINTMENT.

If you want a job done, you have to do it yourself.

I think about this quite a bit too, I definitely would like this to happen. Although I know a lot of people would say it's unfair to the people that want to live, I still can't help but think 'man... when will the world end as keeps being predicted?'

It really does seem like the earth is protected from harm. A random planet, the right distance from the Sun, with the right environment, and free from asteroids or any situation that could cause even a brief interruption to life on earth. What are the chances?

Watching the world burn and crumble whether it's a war or a scientifical disaster has a large level of entertainment to me I feel like. Maybe for once I'd challenge myself not to CTB just to see how long I could make it. Listen to the radio reports while eating the last bag of hot cheetos on the planet, y'know?

A bit ridiculous but, I really wouldn't mind watching. Bound for death while watching things burn.

It's soo unrealistic. Maybe I'll stop being a bitch and CTB myself someday or take enough night walks to get murdered.

The reality is that life is completely unnecessary anyway, it disgusts me how all this torture exists in this world all for no reason, so of course there could never be anything negative about this hellish world finally disappearing.
Nobody can be harmed by not existing but life is the source of all harm, and I view it as being harmful how reliable and peaceful suicide methods are restricted from us as such a thing would just likely lead to people having failed attempts. So of course I would wish for this to happen to save the struggle of going through with ctb. It seems that there is no peace from suffering in this world, and it's true that only peace can be found through non existence, I would hope that if the world was to end, it would be instant and peaceful just like completely disappearing.

I used to wish that the world would end, or that the plane I was on would crash, but I don't anymore. Because like it or not, billions of people on Earth do value life. I'm ashamed that I used to think this way (but I understand why you do if you're desperate)

I wonder just how quick and painless any of these 'ends' would be... Take the dinosaurs- probably ok for the ones who were directly beneath the asteroid/comet- a kind of- 'What's that?' And it's over. Still- wouldn't the rest have starved or been poisoned by all the dust it threw up?

Nuclear war seems horrific to me. I hate fire and I think basically you'd see everything on fire before you died.

I just feel like knowing the end was certainly in sight would actually give me that push to CTB before the shit hits the fan. I just can't picture any nice and peaceful apocalypse senarios personally!

Haha. Truthful but with a sarcastic punch to it, I suppose. I like wording my stuff not so seriously.

Oh don't worry. The end of humanity will eventually come... Just sadly not within your life-time.

The way I see humanity ending isn't in an awe of spectacle like a meteor shower or a nuclear war, but in a disappointing, drawn out struggle for the resources that humanity has been slowly sapping away at the planet, all due to humanity growing too large in numbers for the planet to be able to properly sustain them.

It's now a bit worrying if Russia's nukes are still working as they should. Worse if Russia did use nukes, but didn't cause serious damage, it would be the end of nuke era. Most people would still be alive to face the aftermath. Like the virus came nowhere near destroying humankind. People are still alive and suffering the mess: inflation, bank runs, and other nonsense.

I keep hoping an asteroid will hit the Earth too, but more specifically, hit directly where I am. All that would happen is I'd get a quick rush of adrenaline and be erased forever. That sounds amazing.

I also believe that the entire Earth being destroyed (or having all life on it go extinct) would end all the suffering that is happening and will continue to happen for who knows how long. Hopefully I can do it myself soon so I don't have to worry about it.

Actually this did happen to me with a few things, including the Mayan calendar nonsense. I used to have a more nuanced sense of it though, not so much focused on death but violent change, a cataclysm. Including death, I would say, not BEING death.

I don't think it is a matter of 'chance' whatsoever.

I've had this same fantasy for years. I'd fantasize about being asleep in my bed and having an asteroid come through and just take my head off. Like a sniper from space. In my fantasy my wife and kids are always out of town or something.

Everything in life is a hassle for me. I can't bring myself to brush my teeth, make a meal, go for a walk, drive to the store, play a game, etc. So of course running for the bus is also a huge obstacle for me. Having an indifferent bit of rock do it for me is perfect. It also means no one would be left asking "Could I have helped stop him from getting on that bus?" I might be clever enough to fake CO poisoning or something, but I'm not pulling rocks out of space!

If you are waiting for the world to end, to save you the trouble of ctb, my guess is that you are going to die of old age. It might seem a nice idea but it isn't going to happen. So when you say "If you want a job done, you have to do it yourself", I agree with you.

Yes, I wish the world would end.
My belief is that it will be destroyed by fire.
I also used to read Nostradamus...
Maybe it's sacreligious to say so, but I can't wait much longer, hence my desire to ctb. The cost of living is too high. Some weeks I have to choose between medications or groceries. Can't do this anymore.
