i am looking for some advice on how to proceed with my last farewell messages to friends and family. there is something appealing with creating a google doc with my last thoughts and posting it to a platform such as instagram where most of the people I have cared for/interacted with would come across it. this would come in the form of a post scheduled after my death. however i am very scared of looking pretentious or seeking the attention of the masses with a public message. i have seen others do it before, for example the woman who jumped off of the vessel in nyc a couple of years ago. i was wondering if i could get some thoughts on this. the google doc would contain : the note, a section answering questions my loved ones may have about my rationale, and maybe a paragraph on why i chose to make it public. i really dont mean to look like an attention whore with this method, it just seems more efficient than writing individual goodbyes to people and then having to off myself shortly after to avoid being intercepted. it also grants me the solace of knowing that i ** myself ** can explain my rationale rather than the news coming from family members who may be too ashamed to even admit to it being a suicide.
