December 29 this year. If it fails, then I'll go March 25 next year

That's my birthday. Hmmn, it'd be pretty neat to die on your birthday. Neat as in tidy. Wrap that life up after exactly x years.

I have been trying to get a job for six months but I'm either overqualified or underexperienced for everything. Yay for six years of university. Don't even know if I could handle it tbh

I used to work, but it was driving and I didn't want to freakout because of stress and ctb during work by driving into traffic or something so I quit. I have enough saved up to last me till I officially ctb though

ty for being responsible like this

also have best wishes for you.

No, I'm on disability. Otherwise I'd be dead already. They once wanted to take it away from me. I'll never forget the sheer terror of being forced to end my life in a rush. It was a close call.

No. I had a business I was a few days from starting--literally all set to go--before this all happened 3 years ago that has me unable to do literally anything, even watch TV or read or leave home due to pain. I am bitterly disappointed because it was a passion of mine and not all about money. It wasn't the business per se that I am sad about, it is the product I was going to sell, and it was something that was a hobby-turned-into-a-way-that-could-make-money-too thing. So it's the hobby I miss. But making money for myself on my own would have made me feel good too, since I could be proud if it was even somewhat successful since I failed a business before and have one successful one I am partnered in and I can't participate in anymore either.

I did work, and enjoyed working, I was fortunate to always have jobs I liked and wanted to be at.

I've been on disability because of mental illness now for 13 years. I don't think I'll ever be well enough to go back, and my attitudes and understanding of the employer/employee dynamic have changed so much I'm not sure I'd want to go back. So many employers are exploitative.

I used to work.
Not in a legit job, basically get by through under the table work otherwise I'm not sure I could meet basic needs on min wage. I imagine it's pretty hard unless someone else pays much of your living costs.

This is an awful feeling, isn't it. I feel a lot like that every time they send me notices that they are reviewing my case to determine whether I am still disabled according to their criteria and eligible for benefits.

Employment. Work... now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time.

Of course. I've worked all my adult life. I also managed to screw up a 16 year job and got fired right before the holidays last year. I found another job and relocated my family. I still can't help but feel like a total failure.

I've always worked. Worked so much. Worked 2 jobs in high school. Put myself through college working all the time. Supported a sick partner who didn't work for many years. Now in the last 2 years I can't work more than about 30 hours a week (mental illness, DID). Drowning financially. Life has beaten me up. Hard work got me exactly nowhere.

I haven't kept a job in 6 years. I had to quit the last 2 because of my anxiety. I'm hoping that I will be awarded SSI this time bc now I am also physically disabled in addition to all of my mental illness. But really, it doesn't matter because I am going to ctb shortly after the holidays as long as I can get that goddamn nitrogen tank in my apt.
