Do you wish time would run faster or slower?

For me this is a difficult question with many possible answers. It probably depends on my mood. Currently I rather wish time would move slower. I don't have a lot of responsibilities at the moment. It really helps that I can relax a little.

Though I think the worst is yet to come in my life. I am extremely anxious about my future. I think it will probably force me to ctb. So I am rather hesitant to the wish that time would run faster. However during my extreme severe depression and suicidality I absolutely had the wish that time would run faster. My depression got better after a while. But I perceived the time as really slow during this pain.

I struggle everyday. I have everyday a lot of sorrows, fears and worries. My healthy friends often say they find it unbelievable how fast time runs. I absolutely can't relate to that. My daily suffering lets me perceive time as kind of slow.


What is your experience with that?

So much faster. Every minute is painful. It follows that if every minute passed as fast as a second, I'd have to deal with 60x less pain. I often wish I could just snap my fingers and fast-foward to the moment that bus arrives at the stop.

Other moments I feel I wish I could stop time and exist in a suspended moment of just doing what I want without repercussions.

Hard to say, I know if it went faster and I died quicker, id be on my way to happiness, but speeding through life faster and not dying instaneously means dealing with the knowledge that your dreams will absolutely never come true. Dealing with that form of grief would be true hell. In that case, unless it was equivalant of so fast you couldnt process it, id rather it stay the same. Slower means more time to fail at your goals and hate yourself more as well.

For me, the time goes by very slowly. Every day is very long and depressing, all that I am doing is passing the time until I fall asleep. I wish time would go much faster as that means death will come sooner and I will finally cease to exist and be free from this horrible existence.

Slower. I don't always think so good and make a lot of mistakes so I need more time in the moment.
Also the future is going to be awful everyone knows this. I've been avoiding that thread about the future because I know it will depress me.

There is absolutely nothing we can do to change our individual relationships with them. We were created of Mother Nature and we shall return to Mother Nature when we expend that which was given to us by Father Time.
