Discussion Do you want a funeral?

I hope people will show up to support my husband. He will need support - I am the first person in his life who has supported and loved him unconditionally.

I have few friends. Even fewer who would drop everything to mourn me.

I've lost many friends through the years as a result of my erratic and sometimes frightening moods, largely a produce of my bipolar disorder and my screwed up childhood.

It would be lovely if someone could find something nice to say about me.

Ive been fine with the idea of my body being left on whatever battlefield I fall on, so I'm not picky if one happens or not. I'm not going to be around to experience it, so it's more for someone else's sake.

I'd rather be cremated. I've looked into the ideas of where people will mix their ashes with a tree being planted. Idk the decomposition breakdown in the coffin doesn't appeal to me. It's not that I'd be around to care, but it's something I'll attempt to avoid.

My family will probably have one for me. If anything what I wan't most is to be cremated when I die, not to rot in the ground in a casket. Besides that it's their choice.

I've actually thought about this a lot. I forgot where I first heard this but I've always wanted to have a funeral for myself while I'm still alive but going to die soon. It would be a final goodbye to everyone. It might sound a little crazy but I've always liked the idea. Of course, if I ctb then that wouldn't happen.

I don't want a funeral not because I don't think people will come but because I don't want my body to decompose in the ground and be eaten by bugs. Better to be cremated and get it over with quick. I wouldn't want a funeral anyway I am very private and don't want people looking at my body or any pictures of me...

I think that's why it's important to make it clear to your family you don't want a funeral under any circumstance. Some families don't listen and I think that's quite selfish...

In objectivity, being turned into humus, being turned into hummus, would have been my choice to "give back" , but N/A (not legalised). So cremation, to monopolise less earthly space
