• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

You could have your budlight in peace without being dragged into the dirt.
You could wear that old red hat on your head again, without triggering discussions.

Yes and no. All the petty arguments, scandals, corruption pisses me off. Having said that, living in such large communities, I think some people need to take charge.

Say we start from grass roots again. Take a job likely not so many people want to do- getting rid of sewage and rubbish. Luckily, a few people still want to do it but- who pays them? Who agrees the amount? What happens if they stop turning up for work? What if they or anyone else decides to turn to crime instead? What happens if the company they work for exploits them unfairly? What if they cut corners to make more profit and endanger health?

All that stuff happens even with regulations but, without them, I dread to think what would happen. We surely still need governing bodies and rules to at least try to ensure people treat one another fairly. But sure, what we have at the moment is pretty sickening.
