  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

As long as the person your with has an equal (or greater) desire to CTB, than I can understand that being the case.

If everything works out properly, it could help with SI, I suppose. BUT..................you could get an entirely different anxiety worrying whether they will back out at the last minute, or whether you might fail, for whatever reason, while they succeed, and then you might have to deal with LE and an assistance charge. Anxiety, anxiety everywhere. Just no escaping it. I think a partner could be a double-edge sword in some cases.

I think it adds more variables to your CTB but at the same time, a good partner could help relieve your anxiety about dying alone. I think it's very subjective and dependent on the partner. If I had a good partner I think it would make it easier but as I said the amount of added variables does give me extra anxiety. What if they are not who they say they are and have ulterior motives? What if they back out or change their mind last minute? What if they call the cops? What if you go through with it and they try to save you? What if they go through with it and you don't etc. So many added variables for a bit of added comfort.

If you do decide to go with a partner It's good to build a rapport with them before impulsively making a pact. If even something feels off abort immediately before meeting up. If it doesn't feel right when you meet abort as well, preferably by meeting in a public place.

I think that it depends on the individual, maybe for some people it might make them feel more calm and relaxed about it all if they were not alone, but I would rather die alone personally unless I was able to get euthanasia. I think that for me, it would be stressful and distracting if there was someone else there but that is just a personal preference.
