I get a bit of a thrill off staying up so late. I like to see how long I can stay up (sometimes I get close or break a PR). My ability to focus goes up too (I have ADHD) and I can get more done or at least I feel I do. I don't tend to get any hallucinations or things like that unless I do those kind of drugs too which I have been staying away from. I do get mental images (visualizations) in my head which is uncommon for me and sometimes it's easier to get a song stuck in my head. When I'm ready for bed, being relaxed is easy because I'm so tired; to finally rest after so long is a hard to describe feeling.

Mind you, I'm not that hardcore, I can't stay up for over two days straight or I wouldn't likely be enjoying it as much and probably have negative side effects. Everyone is different too, so It's probably not enjoyable for everyone.

I think if I started doing it again and really pushing it on purpose I'd begin to like it

I like it. I like the quiet and lack of physical human interaction in the wee hours... no questions to answer or tasks requested by others to fulfil. The birds and cars aren't making a hell of a noise outside, everyone is asleep so no obnoxious laughter or irritating noise from my brothers or sisters movies, and best of all: no disturbances from my mom.

I don't love it because sometimes my head is buzzing with ctb thoughts at these hours and it can be painful

The night is the only time where I can be undisturbed. The only respite from all these noisy and overbearing people running around all day.

I like sleep too much. I was able to when I was young but as I get older I love to rest. The few times I've pulled all nighters past 25 have felt like torture.

I do always usually stay up too late, even know I tell myself to try to go sleep earlier. It makes me feel terrible the next day. I think the less sleep I get the worse I feel. Every night I am always awake past midnight.

I honestly hate the day and find the sun irritating. If I'm gonna be alive for more years to come(because I don't have the will to ctb atm) then I need to find jobs where I work in the night. I think I'd be more happier then. Although probably not common I do think some people operate better in the night than day naturally. The term night owl isn't there for a reason.

Also less ppl in the night is a bonus. If safety wasn't a concern I'd no doubt take midnight strolls.

Yeah, I do that often. I'm more comfortable at night than at day. I like that it's quiet and dark, I like the ambience of it more than daytime. Everything feels better when I do it at night and I generally have a better mood at night. I hate it when it's becoming spring and the days get longer and I love it when it starts getting dark earlier again. I'm definitely a night person.

I'm similar to orcwitch, I had insomnia since I was 13 and used to sleep around 4 nights a week in school and uni. Sometimes I enjoyed it, at others, I hated it (often both). But after uni my insomnia got better so I sleep almost every night.

I've never pulled an all-nighter. If I'm up til the wee hours of the morning it's always because I'm stressed, depressed, or sick. All shitty feelings

The best feeling imo is when you're on vacation and have nothing to do at all. I love sleeping a full 14 hours per day and just going with my natural cicardian rhythm. it's so refreshing

I'm nocturnal. I don't know how to exist among others, let alone thrive. I really just want to be left alone.

I love sleeping, being free of my conscience for a while. But I also think it's cool to stay awake for hours, today I can't do that much, but I did a few years ago when I suffered from insomnia. I liked not sleeping either. But I always felt sick, like nausea. Any tips to stay awake for many hours ??

I have bouts of insomnia where I toss and turn for a few hours. Then I typically get up and stay up all night as an f-you to myself. But all things being equal I prefer a good night's sleep. There is something peaceful and magical about the night though. I don't mind being up super late and gaming or something. However since I have chronic fatigue I try to get good rest whenever possible.

I used to love pulling all nighters when I was younger, I just cant seem to do it anymore, my depression gets really bad at night and I have nothing to distract me because I find everything pointless, id just rather sleep, sleep is good.

I used to do it. I had pull allnighters due to my housemate this year and then go to work. I'd rather die.
