I have void kitty cat. I recently bought him a (human sized) toothbrush because i read somewhere that cats likes to be brushed with toothbrushes around their face area. however this has turned into his favorite toy. he kicks it around and throws it up in the air. he is very interested in toothbrush.
Do you have any pets and what kind of silly things do they do?

I recently just purchased a puppy Shiba Inu in hopes to find purpose with life. While I love her and take great care of her I don't know if it's enough to make me stay. Thankfully I'm close with a friend that knows of my esoteric thoughts and he will take care of her should anything happen to me.

My family has 8 Roman snails, 1 apple snail, 1 goldfish, 1 golden hamster, 3 cats and 2 dogs
The snails, hamster and goldfish are entirely mine (I feed, clean, care for them), which I'm kinda proud of. But I'm also guilty as I bought the goldfish and hamster to "keep me alive" so I don't CBT… I feel like I'm using them and not selflessly care about them as I should

Void kitty cat has found a new favorite toy: a piece of cardboard. He goes crazy for the cardboard.

We shouldn't have pets. Pets are living toys which are forced into total dependency on humans just so we can 1) Feel someone cares about us, even if (seemingly) no humans do; or 2) Have yet another entertainment option. Having pets is abhorrent.

I will also add that an incredibly amount of animal suffering occurs in the form of animal agriculture to provide food for our pets.

That said, while vegan myself, I do have a cat and a dog, and I struggle with the hypocrisy of abstaining from animal products for moral reasons, while also feeding my pets meat.

My 5 guinea pigs however enjoy only hay and veggies.

The human-dog/cat relationship is for the benefit of both of you when you've adopted a stray and spay/neuter your pet.

I know some people don't understand, but there is no doubt that my dog loves me and that I love my dog.

My cat likes me but is deeply unsatisfied with my inept servitude.
