My main reason for wanting to CTB is just due to society. It might be my autism/schizotypal self, but I feel like everybody is just so mean.

You have constant ragebait on social media about how these minorities are "corrupting morals" when they are just trying to live. People such as cashiers always ask you if you are doing good, and yet they look like you like your insane if you answer with what you truly think. You then have people pretending that they fully logical beings, and then proceed to get mad because you went against their opinion, true or false. They claim that simply saying "Your opinion doesn't matter because you are X" isn't an unresonable response to a well thought out argument.

It's just not right to me. Why can't we all just accept that we are not infallible? We are not know-it-alls, we are human!

I could list off many other issues I have, but then this post would be off-topic about the political state of the world. Point is, we are all so mean, arrogant, and cheating. I thought we learned as children that not all humans have the same culture and thought-process as you.

God, my thoughtmosphere is clogged.

Most people are just naturally selfish and uncaring and only pretend to care that is the sad reality of most societies around the world.

I just wish that the human species would go voluntarily extinct through people no longer forcing life here, as the human species just causes harm and suffering.

Absolutely. The horrors of past, present, and future are simply ignored. If most good common, folk are even aware of them.

Humanity is a many faced creature. I don't think the worst faces are the truest faces even if they're the most apparent.

For instance humans seem to have an instinctual desire to explore and create. There's something beautiful in that.

I heard yesterday in a book about Aboriginal people called Everything You Wanted to Know about Indians But Were Afraid to Ask that the reason people would fast during a spirit quest and to be on their own and vulnerable was to seek the pity of wandering spirits who might gift them with a song, a name, an animal vision. Something so they could return home.

I thought that was a nice image for suffering to invoke the pity of spirits.

I want to feel pity for humanity instead of my normal state which is betrayal. If I was a spirit I hope I would want to sing to humanity as well and maybe ease the suffering by a bit.

Good point! I think societies value things differently. Some societies have valued rationality and empathy. Others value superficiality and pointless work

Can't say I blame you. I'm naturally introverted because I was bullied as a kid, It's hard to want to socialize after going through that the first 14 or so years of your life.

Often times, I feel like I'm one of the few who really see society for what it is. I'm not some genius who knows things most people don't. But I don't like lying to myself.
