Do you feel like if you accepted life as it is and as it can be, within its limitations, absurdness and pain life would become livable ?
I think it depends on your circumstances. If things are not too bad, then taking that sort of accepting attitude, and making the best of it, may be a sensible way forward. It may make life livable, and even, within limits, pleasant. But if you are faced with a situation that really is intolerable, then trying to tolerate it might not work. Much also depends on how much support you have from other people. Everyone's situation is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer to your question. Think of Stephen Hawking, for example. His situation was very difficult. Many people in his situation would have chosen to ctb. (I probably would.) He didn't. But as well as accepting his situation, and trying to make the best of it, he also had a lot of support from others.Do you feel like if you accepted life as it is and as it can be, within its limitations, absurdness and pain life would become livable ?
Not anymore.Do you feel like if you accepted life as it is and as it can be, within its limitations, absurdness and pain life would become livable ?
Amen! You and me both.No and I'd never want to "accept" existence, the fact that I was burdened with something as torturous and undesirable as existence is beyond unacceptable to me, it's a horrific tragedy how humans procreate in the first place even know nobody can suffer from never existing at all.
For me non-existence is always preferable to suffering for decades just to die in agony from old age, there's nothing acceptable about this abomination, I see existence as something best avoided no matter what. I'd never wish to exist as a conscious being with the ability to suffer endlessly, I wish I never existed more than anything, I wish I stayed eternally unaware of the evil that is existence.
Its much easier said than doneDo you feel like if you accepted life as it is and as it can be, within its limitations, absurdness and pain life would become livable ?
