Do you believe in extraterrestrial life? Do they know of our existence?

I think it'd be foolish to believe they don't exist. Whether they're here or not is another question entirely, but I personally believe that they are.

Well, perhaps there is one. Never have been into conspiracies or anything like that, but sometimes I really wonder if this whole planet is a project of theirs gone bad. What if they are watching from someplace near by with their ships or something... For all we know, they may be on the back side of the Moon, dictating our every step. The stuff that supposedly 51 hides is also interesting, but we may never know what is in there due to how heavy the military presence is in that place. :)

I believe there are. There's an estimated 6 billion Earth like planets, I'd assume we're not the only planet in the whole universe with life.

I dont believe any of the cases involving supposed sightings. Those that involve any evidence at all seem full of holes, and like they could easily have been faked. If there were a lifeforms capable of reaching us, we would have some credible evidence of it by now, and we dont.

I see a lot of people saying things like 'statistically there are bound to be lifeforms out there somewhere'. But the chances of life being created on earth was ridiculously unlikely. So I do think there is a chance that no other planet met all of the unlikely criteria for life to form and then survive. I do think there is a chance that some form of life exists elsewhere. Or maybe life did exist but got wiped out by an extinction event. But I think that the most rational way to look at it is that we are completely in the dark, and have no idea about whether there is or isnt.

totally. there has to be. i love it when people argue the fact with me though because what are we when we leave our planet to explore others but aliens ourselves. we dont belong there. its not our home.

Heck yeah! There's no reason they wouldn't exist. They're probably billions of light years away. I see no reason of why Earth is in anyway unique. We are the only planet in the universe to have life on it? When multiple other galaxies exist?

I don't think we have or ever will be in contact with each other, but I think there are enough planets that some of them are bound to have life, even if it's just bacteria or cells

There's probably life on Mars right now, we bred some incredibly hardy bacteria in the NASA clean room and I don't think we sterilized the landers thoroughly. As for the question of intelligent life, first we have to agree on what intelligence is. We're probably sharing this planet with other intelligent lifeforms.

I like to keep an open mind I watched a few documentaries on UFO's where they interview pilots and some police officers and they all seem to have believable accounts, one US pilot mentioned the men in black came to see him for an interview and he said why don' you tell the people they exist and his answer was do you think the people want to know there are being more technically advanced they us.

Just as I wrote above I remembered a documentary I watched years ago about a group of loggers and one was nasty and anti sociable and he was kidnapped by aliens and I think the Police and the FBI got involved as it was front page news, the rest of the loggers was arrested for murder but they all said the same story they saw a UFO in the forest and he was abducted.

They all agreed to have a polygraph test to prove they were telling the truth, they passed, the missing man turned up about 7 days later and initially refused to have a polygraph test but later decided to have the test and they all moved away from the town and the police captain bumped into the tester and was talking to him and he said they all passed.

Do I believe in 'aliens'? No, not really. The kind of humanoids we see in movies and conspiracy theories are fun and all, big fan of those funky green dudes, but thats it?
Do I believe in extraterrestrial life forms that might range from unicellular beings to more complex creatures? Absolutely. There is no way we're alone in the universe. I guess I just like a more scientific approach to this matter. :p

It's interesting, there's billions of habitable planets out there, so either there's extraterrestrials with shit so advanced we can't even imagine, or we're the most advanced living things in the entire universe. I think either way is pretty mindblowing.

If I had to choose an answer, I'd say they exist but the reality is that we just don't know. I find the argument that there are so many stars and galaxies so they must exist, pretty weak when it comes to intelligent life. We just don't know what the odds are. Life seems to arise easily somehow, but going from a simple cell to intelligent beings seems more difficult and we don't really know what the requirements are. As for the possibility they've visited earth, I'd say it's extremely small, even if they exist.

One would have to be very ignorant to think that we are the only planet with living things on it in the university.
I believe there are many other life forms out there and some of them are probably much higher developed than we are and therefore already know we exist.

Yes, I'm sure they exist. Some may have already come here. And we're surrounded by intelligent life we don't know how to communicate with (minerals, trees, marine animals, etc.).
