Do we need a reason to live

Is life itself not reason enough

Yes we need a reason. life can and will torture almost every human and other animal with diseases, accidents, or old age. One needs a reason to risk these hells such as a threat of homelessness, threat of diseases like cancer, stroke, dementia which most humans are under threat of suffering.

Also one needs a reason a purpose why i have to work so hard, deal with so many problems and sickness, pain , suffering etc.why why? I don't see a reason nor purpose to life.

What is a human or other animal anyway ? just a bunch of trillions of cells. and imo those cells look and behave in a monstrous fashion. if you take a microscope you will see that we are just cells and the illusion fades away

No, life itself is not enough. We need "reasons" (illusions & delusions) to live.

Life is suffering. Why would suffering in and of itself be enough as a reason for living?

I personally do not have a reason to live. I am only alive because I was brought to this world without choice, we lack the right to die and it is hard to take our lives. I simply exist, it is like I have already died. So we do not exactly need a 'reason' to live. Having a reason to live, can make life more bearable for many people. However any reason is simply an distraction from how meaningless life is.

People need money to live. A reason is futile but it makes it more tolerable.

Unless you found that elusive, unconditional happiness I think you need a reason. Without a reason, even if you don't ctb you will be dead inside. Reason do not need to be grand or permanent, they can be little and temporary.

All these ideas are additions of human mind of course, dogs and cats do not need a reason to live, they just do it
