Do you think love can reach te point when you are not even there for you but you are for someone else?
Like an instinct?
In a way you could do things you wouldn't normally do even for yourself

Do you think of it as foolish? Or not?

Yes, it is.
I've read some experiences of people here who simply can't leave without the person they love.
I guess that's because they love them more than themselves.

I wanted to ctb when I was a teen and had my first crush. I thought the world was not worth without her in my life but got over her some months later.

I think people just get over people but sometimes, it seems impossible and that's why a saying which goes like "Time heals all your wounds" makes sense.

Yes. I'm living proof of that. I love my mom, I love my girlfriend, etc. but I feel love has to be earned and I didn't earn that privilege yet.

Well considering I hate myself so much, then by comparison I love almost everyone else in the world way more. Maybe that's not saying much though.

If you see it deeper then love and everything else you feel/do is selfish. So my answer to your question is no.

I hate how this nature was programmed. Even the so called good things don't truly seem good to me.

Yes, it is possible. I love a user here more than myself. He is catching the bus one of these days. We have been like brothers for two months now. I am utterly heartbroken. And I don't know how to cope with it.

when you hate yourself so much that even your reflection in the mirror is enough to bring you to tears, any form of affection for anyone could be seen as caring for them more than for yourself.

I really feel like this, specially with my family and some friends, it's not foolish, we are programed to care for some people, but I have absolutely no self love so I'll always care for them way more than I care for myself.

It sounds like it is possible. I have no idea what that would be like, however. I can't relate to most people. There are some fictional characters I really like, though. I definitely love them more than myself.

Don't know how it works. Is a mother really selfless for sacrificing herself for her child or is she doing it for selfish feelings to avoid the painful feelings of loss if she loses the child?

No idea what "loving yourself" is supposed to mean. I can only briefly love women before realizing that they don't want me haha.

She is selfish. Everyone is selfish. Anyone who disagree should check this video.

I love my boyfriend to high hell. I want nothing but the best for him and I'd do anything to make him happy. Though I hate myself more than I love him, which is why I'm planning on dying. I know he doesn't love me back in the same way I love him, so I'm sure he won't care all that much.

Yes, I love my partner more than I love my disgusting, pathetic self. But because I'm so drained of energy mentally and emotionally, I have not much love left in me to give him - let alone for myself. I always believe that the best and most loving thing I can do for him is for me to not exist because I am nothing but a burden to him.

Me living right now, is very selfish and everyone suffers. I need to be gone.
