We see the shallowness of the modern world and what it has to offer and say "Not interested." Normies think their bread and circuses are enough to satisfy and are confused and angry that it's not for everyone. I want better. I want real meaning and real bonds, but it's not to be found. This life is trash and anyone who is satisfied with this shit show is insane. Being led around by the nose needing to satisfy the need to eat, sex, use the bathroom, sleep, etc is biological slavery.

That could be part of it. I like to imagine that prolifers not only live relatively mediocre lives, they also have little ambition or drive to change it (whether or not they are complacent in it).

Suicide on the other hand could be seen as a the most drastic change you could make to your life in an effort to change circumstances you're not satisfied with. It is in direct opposition to the way they live their lives and holds a mirror up to themselves. And they don't like what they see.

Amen. Their animal-like lives are a daily humiliation to witness. Their cares and concerns are mere trifles to be mocked and ridiculed by the act of suicide.

Earned it we have...

I don't know. Sometimes I think this. Sometimes I'm truly perplexed at why the 'normies' find their lives worthwhile. But then- I suppose I compare their life to mine and there are some major differences. A lot of them DO have close bonds. They quite often have partners, some have children. Most are pretty close to their families. They earn enough to enjoy their weekends, holidays etc. and they do it with people they love. I don't think it's necessarily shallow to enjoy watching the sun go down with someone you love.

Maybe you could argue that they're more stupid than you are to get distracted by life's light show. I don't know who I'd really rather be though. Most of us here are in anguish because we feel so desperate to leave this place and feel trapped. What have we actually gained by realising 'the truth'? There's no reward! We just have the problem of now having to kill off our biological vessels if we want out and being utterly miserable until we do.

Maybe they do feel slighted/ hurt that the world they feel content with and in some part created for us- if they happen to be our parents or close loved ones isn't enough for us. I'm sure the authorities certainly don't like suicides because they demonstrate to others that it's possible to break free.

I suppose I do also see suicide as an act of defiance. Basically- we're not willing to put up with being a slave. Still- it has a tragic side to it too. For whatever reason- we were most likely not able to create the bonds with people that might have saved us. That can work just the same for people in relationships as those on their own. Some people just get to the point where they feel unable to connect anymore. I guess that's another sad reflection on the state of this world though.

I don't connect well because of trust issues, cynicism, competing interests, etc. And every life is a different world so maybe their lives have the good stuff. I don't know. It's all temporary regardless. Probably harder to die when you have a lot of bonds. it never bothers me when people I know die. I just accept it and move on.

I just think many pro-life people don't wish to accept the fact that for so many people death is the more preferable and desirable option which is why they label wishing to cease existing as being an "illness" when in reality wanting to die is just having awareness of the reality of existing. I honestly don't understand why anyone would wish to exist, existing is burdensome, tiring and futile to me, suicide will always feel perfectly logical to me as it's the way to take control and escape from suffering. Accepting suicide as a valid option would shatter their delusions which is why they are unable to.

I don't like to call life-enjoyers insane or similar (as tempting as it is), because that's what they say about us. I don't want to pathologize them in turn. I prefer to take a "die and let live" approach, if you will. To each their own.

Based on what they say, it does seem that they tend to resent or can't understand why we would prefer to not experience anything at all rather than face our dealt hand. I get a lot of, "If this paraplegic can enjoy their life, you can too!" Good for them, but I don't want to settle. I hate the state of things and even consciousness itself is freakish to me. I wish my preference could be respected.

I've been "settling" most of my adult life. Just a few more pushes and I'm out of here.
