  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've been to the psyche ward at least 8 times. You always leave the place with a script of some sort. But you're basically forced to take drugs there or else you'll stay there longer.

It's more of a requirement for invoking "treatment" that checks insurance, State, and/or/also medical practice liability boxes. Not that they don't care at some level, at least the ones that aren't already burned out by the job, it's just the way the business model is set up in care facilities.

They'd have to be monsters of some sort to derive pleasure from just drugging people. I think the vast majority of doctors are legitimately trying to help people with the tools they have available, which I'm sure they'd tell you are not perfect by any stretch of that word. We live in an imperfect world, full of imperfect people, whose best efforts can only be imperfect. It's the reality of our existence that everything is imperfect.

there is growing evidence these drugs make you worse in the long run - surely they must know about this? even people who used to have high positions in pharma companies have admitted most of the shit they sell don't help with much at all - I don't think people care as much as they make out they do - someone earning £100,000 a year as a consultant with a pension coming at 55 cares way more about their own shit than whether this drug you're taking will help you or not, and more about getting those boxes ticked that enable them to keep their salary and early retirement - I used to think people gave a fuck about others, but not many do, not when it comes to action - they can empathise and sympathise all they want on a forum or in a moment whilst thinking about others, but what they do is what matters, and most people would prioritize money and a good pension over doing anything good for anyone

but here's the thing - do I care that much about others? Not really. So why would I assume others care about me?

I wondered if it was a control thing. Im sure its down to protocols isnt it!?. We had the the infamous Dr Shipman in UK not so many Years ago. He ctb eventually but meanwhile, he was found guilty of murdering many of his patients. Just imagine that. You seek help from your doctor and he ends up murdering them.!

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Many people can be very cruel and want to make others suffer more. To me, pro life is just pro suffering.
