Maybe some do, but I feel like most "normal" people are on an entirely different wavelength from us. They see something beautiful and infinitely rewarding in the simplicity of this life, and their survival instinct deters them from ever seriously thinking about putting an end to it. They value what they already have over the unanswered questions of death, and I envy that greatly.
Most people, from my experience, can't wrap their head around being as suicidal as I am. It just isn't something that has any reason to enter their world on a near daily basis. Likewise, I can't wrap my head around being happy with life, having that kind of mentality waking up everyday. They think I must secretly enjoy living, and you think they must secretly enjoy the thought of dying. In opposite ways, we are the same.
100% disagree. I think almost everyone wants to live.
Do most people enjoy suffering? How do they find the simplicity of life "rewarding"? How are they "excited" about life? Most people I meet are resilient, excited about life, and have no thoughts of suicide beyond "Ugh I wish this bad time would just be over." But then, most people I meet have a strong support system, no mental illness, a partner and/or kids, lots of things to look forward to, etc. Seriously contemplating suicide doesn't cross their mind... And you can see it in response to articles or posts about suicide. They literally cannot wrap their minds around the act or why anyone would do it. We are just a decade or so removed from the popular and widespread idea of CTB being an option for only weak or selfish people who can't handle life. (Not to say people don't think like this now, but the focus is more on muh mental health)
