it may not be from sn, someone else could have asked them to do a welfare check
if police are there, if you talk to them, they either kidnap you and take you to a locked facility or determine you are okay. often, they take you in.
however, in order to do a welfare check, they have to interact with you. they can't determine you must be locked up unless they speak with you. in most countries, you don't have to answer the door or talk with them
be aware that in some countries, doing certain things can allow them to break in.
So if you are talking, watching TV, respond initially, and then when they are there you wont say anything, they may be able to break in.
If they don't know if you are there, they'll have a hard time justifying breaking in and wouldn't want to tip you off.
SN has non-suicide uses.
They also may still be outside the door. Don't leave yet. They sometimes say that loudly to trick people.
This happened to me once. I put my headphones on, watched a three hour movie, and then left. They may come back, so I would be careful with entering and leaving for a while, try to be fast, try to disguise yourself somewhat. Don't take ID with you, be ready to claim to be someone else and without iD if needed.
They usually will give up, and often quickly. But don't go outside for a few hours, possibly even a day if you can. They may be eaiting off to the side. Be careful. Please update us.
