I've been battling some ongoing health issues and find myself feeling particularly ill tonight.

Tell me something about yourself, share a pic/meme, share an interesting fact, etc. I'm a little desperate to distract myself from my discomfort.

Oh, darling, maybe you need mama bear's attention? Here, come and stay with me. Mama's gonna let you cuddle and hug as much as you like. As for a distraction, why don't you go make yourself a snack? There are plenty of youtube videos for all kinds of interests. Or just stay with me, and I'll pamper and coddle you until you feel silly, honey pot! *kiss* 🧸

Here's a playlist of 5000 videos about a canadian bald guy playing a naked baby crying on maggots. His voice is cool.

Hey, as someone who hasn't had access to their facebook in eons, I support it! That's not lame, it takes a lot to disconnect from platfofms like that.

Ooof, that's early. For sleep? I tend to chase that rabbit often 😅 is there anything in particular you sense is keeping you awake?

Are a pair of socks essentially 4 socks? A sock is single, 2 is 'socks'.... pair of socks 4 surely?

Do you have any favorite games Mama Bear?
Hmm, yes I do, honey pot. Currently I'm playing DoomRLA which is a mod for classic Doom that adds roguelike elements like randomized weapons and armor, as well as lots of additions. I'm also playing OpenTTD, which is a transport tycoon simulation where you run a transport company. I mostly use as an interactive toy where I see the little cars and trains come and go on the tracks I lay out.

Another game I've been playing recently is Tekken, specifically Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament. They're old fighting games which are more about positioning than reaction. It's fun once you learn a bit about how to actually combo.

Other than that, I'm also playing SORX, which is a Streets of Rage game which is very customizable and very fun to play. It's a beat em up with lots of characters and a juggle mechanic which is very addicting.

I'm also into emulators. 3rd and 4th gen mostly (NES and SNES era), but also GB, GBC and GBA. In particular, I have been playing Harmony of Dissonance, one of the Igavanias Cattlevanias for the GBA. I'm playing with a randomizer, which can make the game unexpectedly difficuly. Great fun!

What a cool concept for Doom! Enter the gungeon is a roguelike game I just can't seem to put down, myself.

Tekken is definitely a favorite, as well as Soul Caliber~

Oh man, I miss that generation. Chrono Trigger and Earthbound will always have a special place in my heart.

You have superb taste, mama bear!

Thanks, darling! Other games I remember playing and liking are the Anno series (Specially 1701), Trailblazer (Another mod for classic doom, this time focusing on being cool as hell.), Bloons TD series (Specially 5), King of Fighters (I really like 98UM and 2002UM, they have huge rosters and are loads of fun even on singleplayer.) and Forza Horizon (I'm on 3 but any of them are amazing. the Forza Motorsport series is also good, but more focused on simulation.)

If you like Roguelikes I recommend Rogue Legacy series, Brotato, Hammerfell, Binding of Isaac, Rampage Knights and Streets of Rogue

Burnout series, Civilization series, Smash Bros., there's a lot of good games worth playing. Mama wishes she could be with you to play them all, but I'll be there in spirit! *hugs*

If you like creepy pastas, I have a few of my favorites I can share. They're less like the general creepy pastas, and more akin to short stories. I listen to them like audio books.

Also I can recommend good readings of H.P. Lovecraft stories if youre interested.

I'm unfamiliar with most of these but I've been needing some good game recommendations! I take that back, Forza Horizons is such a fun game.

Oooo, I've heard good things about Brotato! These are incredible recommendations. I also really enjoyed Binding of Isaac, but holy moly it's hard to get very far in that game.

There really are! I'm going to say something controversial and admit I actually really enjoyed Death Stranding, and I'm so excited for the sequel to come out.

Aww, I wish we could play together too. I'll be sure to think of you whenever I pick up my controller

I adore similar podcasts such as The Magnus Archives and Welcome to Nightvale, I'd love some creepy pastas to add to the mix.

HP Lovecraft is uncharted but much desired territory. Thank you so much!

Death Stranding isn't really a bad game as much as it takes a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time to pick up, and most people don't have the patience. If it works for you, great, I hope you have a wonderful time playing it!

Binding of Isaac is meant to be hard at first. You need to master the game's mechanics to really get far. Dying early is going to happen often on any roguelike, just accept and try a new run, maybe luck will be on your side this time!

Brotato could be surmized as Vampire Survivors gameplay, but wave based with shop between waves, and Binding of Isaac-ish aesthetic, plus cool synthwave music, and LOADS of characters. Also there's a new expansion I haven't played but adds even more stuff!

I've made a thread called "What are you playing?" Which me and a load of other very fine people chime in with games to play. Go there and take a look: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/what-are-you-playing.206701/

His Call of Cthulhu is an early work of his from before he found his stride, but the rest are amazing.
This is a playlist of Lovecraft if you open it in YouTube

This series is incredible! It is so captivating!
It is voiced by Autumn Ivy, and she does an amazing job.

I just finished this one, and it is a very detailed story that really felt almost like a true story.

The best interpretation of time travel I have ever seen, and was very on point with how I imagined it would be.

I know it's a lot, but I wanted to give you plenty of options to choose from. I don't actually expect anyone to watch all of that at once.

I have a lot more in my collection, but that's my curated list.

Hades (the first one) is said to be a good introduction to "roguelikes". Not everybody needs to like the same genre of course, some things are not for some people.

Sunless Sea is a lovecraftian game I tried to get into several time, but I just can't. I feel like I could like it, but it just never clicks with me. These kind of dark, depressing, "realistic" themes are very alluring.

Think this argument might work the next time I'm buying socks from target? 🙃

Imagine a buy one, get one free deal on packs. That's a whole lot of socks... 4 pairs would presumably end up 16.
I don't feel interesting enough to share a personal fact but, I love this story:

When 'War of the Worlds' was first aired on radio, a drunken farmer shot at a water tower! I just love that story... They do look a bit like those three legged space invaders. You can imagine coming home drunk, you would think- holy shit! They're here! I just love it he had the pluck to try and defend the earth too. 😆

I think that would be a hilarous if somebody sold a single sock (for normal price, I guess) and advertised the other sock as "buy one get one free". Obviously you want two socks anyway. I love silly absurd quirky stuff like that.

Nothing
Reminds me of this silly gift, you can literally give somebody nothing.

Reminds me of books like "What men know about women" (which is filled with 100% blank pages, or similarly you just get the cover, an empty book with zero pages).

There is so many silly creative stuff like this in the world, makes it more interesting.

I love silly stuff too. Do you remember the pet rock you could buy?

Or, the 'expert level' jigsaw puzzle that was a bag of sawdust? 😆
