Hi all, so I was considering the possibility of using SN, I think I even found DMC, but gave up on the idea wen I saw officially you need a license to bring SN into the country.
I know things are usually ok, but I decided I didn't want to risk charges etc.

Unfortunately I believe inert gas methods are just too complex for me to attempt, and I have no skill at knot tying, although I did wonder about a shoelace.
But I have just read about a person in prison who used 50 elastic bands around his neck and was successful.
I'm not enthusiastic about this idea or the various options I have read about so far. and its quite possible I might not act at all because of method doubts. But I wondered if anyone has experience of the above elastic band idea, its certainly inventive and would get around the knot tying issue, as hanging and night night are not really options. At the moment I feel like i'm looking at a variety of unattractive options.
I was interested in the Lng method I think it was called, I might have got the letters the wrong way around. But I don't drive so no car, and i'm not confident I have a small enough space. Plus this does feel highly speculative as the thread was only set up for it recently and not sure if its been tried. .

You hear about the successes but you don't know exactly how many tries the guy used rubber bands before it finally succeeded. Even sn has a documented success rate of about only 75% (people being found, people calling ambulance on self)

If you cut off circulation and then don't do it well enough you might end up making your life even worse

This is true. and I also do have to think of friends and family.
You do also have to get them in the right place. my lack of knowledge for other methods is so annoying. With the bands also I guess using the right size is also important. Unfortunately i've never been good at practical skills.

I wish N could be my method but I know that's basically impossible. SN is the method I'm most set on. I think about hanging sometimes but I'm terrified I'd do it wrong

Wait, you need a license for sn? Which country? I don't want to go to jail before I get a chance to ctb.

Yes, I've met one individual on here who failed with the gas. Making sure you have the mask right, the CO2 is properly expelled, not moving around to where that shifts it, yeah, too complex. 50 bands? But it needs to be open at the bottom I thought. 50 elastic bands. Oh, you mean separate from the exit bag. That's something. I dunno. I guess that would be something of a ligature method?

I'm not sure the bands would really be okay. You'd be slowly cutting off circulation rather than immediately which could lead to brain damage prior to being able to finish, possibly.
"A variety of unattractive options"
Sounds like life, alright.
