  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello everyone! I want you to share your opinions on the topics ahead:

1. Inescapable dystopian society - how possible is it, for you? World where suicide truly is no longer an option, because after the act you will be resurrected and tortured for disobedience, as an example?
2. Aliens - would you want for them to exist, considering everything that is happening on this planet? I'm sure that if we're not alone, then suffering is not our privilege either.
3. The Universe itself - what to you think about it? Do you consider the one we inhabit to be disbalanced towards suffering? Hate it, love it, don't care?

1. To me the current world is a virtually inescapable dystopian society. The only way to escape is death. I don't believe there will be any kind of resurrection and I don't believe there's any grand authority who anyone is disobeying by committing suicide. If you mean that people in this current world would somehow resurrect people who've attempted suicide and torture them for disobedience, that is pretty much already what happens with psych wards. If someone is truly dead, there will be no resurrecting them so people would just have to ensure their methods are deadly enough, which they should already do anyway.
2. I doubt no other life exists considering how big the universe is. I hope it doesn't, but I think it does. If they do exist they are definitely nothing like what you see on tv shows with humans with one slightly different feature.
3. From my subjective viewpoint, completely evil and not worth it. The very nature of reality itself, from the very laws of thermodynamics itself is predisposed to everything turning to shit.

1. I've developed a fear of reincarnation since I began some research into the occult and eastern religions like buddhism over the past few years.

2. I desperately want (and do believe) aliens to exist. I think it's more likely they would be benevolent than hostile.

3. I sometimes wonder whether we are the universe experiencing itself, which is a sentiment echoed by many others.

1. Not very possible as we soon going to be struggling with even more extreme weather phenomena and a shortage of all kinds of resources that are then needed to even rebuild the existing technologies - probably not going to come as far as this hyped dYsToPiAn FuTuRe everyone talks about - just more surveillance because it's easy to do.

2. I'm pretty sure there are other life forms - it's just a matter of how far away, how advanced - since societies tend to crash at a certain point and probably never get to venture far off into space and even if - if we then are able to communicate with the other species. I definitely feel sorry for any kind of sentient life that has pain receptors.

3. I don't really care - just like it doesn't care for us - it's the universe. It will always be there and sometimes (as unfair as it is) life is created "by accident".
