Venting Disappointment of humankind

Today I saw a post on social media about wild rabbits who suffer from a viral condition which causes growths on their faces. While the images did not look pleasant, what struck me is that literally whole comment sections of maybe even thousand people were full of disgust and hate towards the poor animals, calling them disgusting, to "kill that shit" etc instead of any sort of compassion for innocent animals who suffer.

This only reinforced my feeling that in spite of some gems among people, most humans are worms unworthy of the air they breathe and we deserve an asteroid.

I saw many posts about "abort male babies" and "put young male students on hormone blockers" and "men are evil"... that was YEARS ago but it all still disturbs me greatly. Social media is not one person. It is a global brain, and whatever is trending is a spiritual window into the impulses of that global brain. You can see into the collective consciousness of humanity, and read into the goals and impulses of the overarching societal egregore. IDK if that makes sense to anyone else, but I have always held this to be true since reading Leviathan and Its Enemies. I don't recommend it though, because about the same length as Ancient Evenings by Norman Mailer.

It definitely makes sense that majority of people will follow a widespread trend, even if it is vile and evil. And often the better minority just can't stop them.

This is my first hearing about "Leviathan and Its Enemies" however after reading a short synopsis it sounds similar to ideas I've picked up elsewhere regarding the nature of bureaucracy and large systems. And yes, there's an occult aspect as you mentioned by referring to the societal egregore. I too have noticed the poison seeds sowed into the social egregore years ago grow into creeping weeds chocking out the life of humanity. Nice to run into another perceptive mind even if it's within pretext of this site. Welcome.

People are becoming increasingly horrible. It's hard to say I know anyone well who doesn't have at least a few completely awful qualities . We've reached a point where people will justify almost anything if it's ironic or just something they dislike. I'm not against joking about "taboo" topics, but there are times and places where it's appropriate, and times when it isn't. I'm part of the problem too (and I'm sure most people on this site are), but I still think it's worth pointing out

A clear example of this is EPI. Kids are innocent and shouldn't be exposed to sexual content at a young age. Anyone exposes children to porn is a pedophile. It's sickening that something this vile is being rampantly pushed in schools, masked as "educational," helping fuel pedophiles' desires, while literally no one bats an eye.
