Dignitas is possibly back on the table for me.

I've been looking at the brochure. Current total cost is about 10,500 Swiss Francs plus membership of 200 Francs.

Its alot of money for me but i can just about afford it. But im terminal ill and doctors dont really know of prognosis in terms of time. Unfortunately, i think my previously physical fitness is making the dying process harder.

Somehow or other I will need to get to the airport unassisted but its possible

im j so much physical pain. Im getting desperate and doctors are just looking on.

Take care everyone. I love you all.❤

It does sound like the ideal way to leave this world, going to an euthanasia clinic. Nobody should have to spend their last moments in pain. I hope that you find freedom from your suffering.

I am really sorry you're experiencing severe pain plus the doctors just looking on, @Rational man. But having the option of Dignitas is fantastic and I'm so happy for you! And also glad that you can figure out getting to the airport and then to Dignitas unassisted. Wow, that must be a huge relief!

That's terrible for you. I truly couldn't stand to be in constant physical pain. I'm so sorry.

Could your doctors increase your pain medication? I just find it intolerable with modern medicine that people are expected to live with pain. I know that opioids are addictive- so they prefer to limit handing them out repeatedly but surely they make an exception for terminal illness?

Remember I heard on a programme about surgical malpractice once- if only doctors were more like pilots and died with the passengers/patients, far fewer mistakes would be made. I'm sure that the majority are very well intentioned, extremely hard working and care about their jobs but for the handful that aren't, God knows how many people suffer.

I'm sorry things are so bad for you but I'm glad there is a glimmer of hope with Dignitas. I'm sure they treat people kindly.

As time goes on, i feel.more at ease with the idea. The pain is relentless. Pain.will.drive ANYONE to consider relief in some way.

Thanks for tour kind words. Pain is subjective. I guess i need to roll on the floor in agony but my pain threshold is high. The NHS in UK is in a bad way. GPs seem to be undermined by hospital protocols and algorithmically driven idealism. Its a terrible situation. People are being found dead, sometimes Months or Years after they died at home. No one checks on them. Ever since Dr Shipman, murderer of many patients, GPs have to be careful with drugs becuase they could lose their licence to practice. When i speak of pain to doctors im usually met with ston ey silence apart from the mild pregabalin i take for nerve pain i have nothing else. Drs and nurses are leaving practice in their droves now which adds to the crisis.

I think Dignatas is a good thing to look at and definitely worth the money but in the mean time stamp and stomp at your consultant/GP about being given an urgent referral to a pain clinic.
Also maybe think about looking for not legal drug supplies. If you can't get them from the system, go around the system.
And if and when you do head to Switzerland as soon as you set foot in the airport, you are entitled to disabled assistance.
Good luck and take care x

Have you looked into Kratom which you can get online? I tried it for depression and it just made me nauseous, but I've read it can help pain.

Escaping pain sounds rational to me.

Maybe you want to try the natural amino acid L-Phenylalanine. It helps with depressions and pain. 3x daily between meals, not together with protein.

Dear God. This is horrifying. I thought you were on morphine or something like that. I very much hope you can get a referral to a pain clinic. This is inhumane.

Doctor's dont fully understand what is happening to my body. Clearly, its become more dysfunctional. There was a story of a young man near me a couple of Years ago. He had terrible headaches. Doctors were unable to treat. He was found hanging from a tree in a nearby park with a note by his side. Its been reported that some cancer patients only got morphine a few Weeks before death despite Months of pain. Thanks for your concern❤
