Curious how scary the experience was 'sober'?

I would not limit yourself to SN, I would ask generally how people seeing themselves overcome Survival Instinct which is prevalent for every method. There are threads already around that you can search. SI is the acronym most used

I have looked into survival instinct. That's becoming less of an issue now for me since I'm completely trapped (cf. David Foster Wallace's 'burning building analogy', and how jumping is the lesser of two evils). But I'm still someone who's, at heart, highly neurotic and I suppose the process of watching myself die terrifies me. Some people have described SN as relatively 'peaceful', i.e. they just became tired/unconscious, but it seems to vary. So I'm curious how people felt, I suppose .. like did they panic, vomit, fall unconscious etc.?

It is hard to determine. @Funkygibbon seemed to have no warning at all and collapsed in his front yard having his last smoke. Others have said they vomited. It is practically impossible to predict each person's symptoms or reaction to them. My advise would be to make sure you are in a comfortable position and just let nature take its course. I will be lying on my couch perhaps watching my favourite TV show or movie. With a bucket next to me just incase.

Well if I do it, it will have to be in an old disused/abandoned car across the road from my family home. So I figured I'd just lie down on the back seat or something.
@Stan if the SN is being transported to a different location, does it matter what kind of vessel it's put in (glass, plastic etc.)?
