I had someone ask me yesterday "you got over your suicidal phase yet then".
Wow, ok.... like yea this is a fashion fad I'm just gonna get bored of or get over!! I wanted to throat punch them, but it was a DM.

What stupid comments have you had and how have you dealt with them?

What was the context. You could have misinterpreted it.

I was never keen on the 'smile, it may never happen' line. Especially when somebody looks really pleased with themselves for saying it. It should be legally allowed to give those sort of people a punch.

I hate leading questions like that.

Recently, I had arranged a night out with my best friend and didn't realise that he would come with another friend. I should have known this would happen under the circumstances but didn't, so my fault. However, it put me in a really bad mood and I hardly spoke until I left soon after.

After a while, this other friend asked me if it was because he was there. I mean, what other response did he expect? Of course I had to say no.

"Oh, you haven't committed suicide yet, you must just be seeking attention."

How I want to respond:

"No bitch, I'm waiting for murder to become legal so I can kill you, that way when I do kill myself, people can't say I took the cowards way out."

The attention seeking one pisses me off, just because I failed doesn't mean I'm attention seeking, just because I'm still here doesn't mean I don't want to, just because I'm still here doesn't mean I will be fo rmuch longer...

What was the context. You could have misinterpreted it.

The attention seeking one pisses me off, just because I failed doesn't mean I'm attention seeking, just because I'm still here doesn't mean I don't want to, just because I'm still here doesn't mean I will be fo rmuch longer...

I used to think like that at some point, and then depression hit me like a truck. All I can say is that people who think like that won't change their way of thinking unless they are concerned as well.
