Help Diazepam and SN – is 16 mg enough?

I'm considering CTB w/ SN in the morning, since I live alone anyway. That way I could skip the annoying fasting period. However, I wonder if valium/diazepam will be able to knock me out after I've slept recently (so not sleepy) and it's day (well, my room is dark as hell anyway)?
I don't have enough valium to test that myself. I have 8 pills x 2 mg.
A long time ago, 5 of those knocked me out in 15 minutes. But it was evening and I was emotionally exhausted (to put it mildly). I wasn't sleepy per se. It was difficult to wake me up after 4 hours or so... I was completely slurred and out of it.

I remember someone pointing out that you should take the time of the day in consideration when planning for SN suicide w/ benzos.
Or is 16 mg not enough no matter what?

I don't have tolerance because I took diazepam extremely rarely (the last time were those 5 pills a year ago, earlier I would take 1 pill every 4 months or so).
Searched around a bit but wanted to check with you anyway.

16mg is not much valium at all, but it's better than nothing. I think the ideal amount is a whopping 500mg from what I understand but it seems like an insane amount to me so idk. ATM personally I have about 35mg, I'm hoping to get as much as I can, relativee to that anyway.

I don't know why they recommend so much. All we want is something to make us lethargic, less alert and possibly fall asleep while the sn does it's job so we can pass peacefully. I've been knocked out on 10mg of valium before. I don't need enough to kill a bearded yak.

Fuck. 500 mg is A LOT! Don't think I ever had as much, doubt I will. Even if I managed to get another box, I would end up with 38 pills at best...
SN should knock me out in 20-30 minutes anyway, right? I will just suffer if Valium doesn't work.

Yes, that was my idea too... Is so much Diazepam needed so that we don't wake up for the 4-8 hours that it may take for us to die?

Which seems like bullshit to me.... No way I'm vomiting those precious pills. Taking them 20-30 minutes before seems to me like a reasonable solution to fall asleep.

The point of taking a benzodiazepine with SN is to put you asleep before you start feeling unpleasant symptoms like tachycardia and dizziness. However, where SN will knock you out in 20 minutes (approximately), diazepam takes about an hour to kick in. Since it does not act quickly enough, it is pointless to take it at the same time as SN. (A better fit would be midazolam, which has a very quick onset of actions — within minutes — or lorazepam.)

Perhaps a better idea is to take a low dose (5-10mg) one hour ahead of time, so as to reduce your SI and to avoid that the tachycardia from SN makes you anxious, but without making you fall asleep before you ingest SN.

Wouldn't it be possible to take the diazepam early enough to fall asleep roughly just after SN has been ingested? Though it would be a challenge to time that. I am afraid that 10 mg an hour before would make me lose consciousness before I drink SN anyway. But reducing SI would be wonderful. I haven't even taken into a consideration that this can be possible.

I'm no expert but my personal expeirnce suggests otherwise. One time I took a few midazolam, around 80-100mg and it still took me more than 5 minutes to fall alseep.

Midazolam has the quickest onset of action out of all the benzodiazepines. I mentioned it in my post:

Possibly. Ideally you would want to do a test run - take 10mg diazepam on an empty stomach and measure with a timer how long it takes for you to fall asleep - but I gather that you do not have enough diazepam left to do so.

I will try to get more diazepam, though I'm not sure how it goes ;____; Oh well, it's worth trying anyway!
I wonder if doctors can see what medicine has been prescribed by others. I would prefer if my main shrink did not know about the valium (if I do manage to secure it).
