• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Has anyone ever felt scared and terrified by the idea that everything will be erased as if it never existed? Your memories, your way of thinking, your body, your mind...etc.
Although the idea of ending everything is comforting sometimes, but the thought of eternal self-erasure is scary.
Who will I be after I do that, where will I go...etc.
I know nothing in this universe except my existence, things I've experienced...etc.
It's very strange and surreal.

What you're feeling is just the mind recoiling against its own end. It's not really fear of "nothing," because nothing can't be feared it's the fear of losing the illusion of continuity that your brain has kept alive all your life. Once the switch goes off, there is no "you" left to regret, to miss, or to ask questions. The mind keeps imagining some kind of postscript where it can stand outside its own erasure, but that's impossible. The moment the self dissolves, so does the stage, the actor, and the audience. There's no darkness, no silence, no exile only the absence of anyone to notice. The terror belongs to the living; the dead are beyond it.

Nope, in fact, I would love for my existence to be erased right now.

It's what most here hope for. We've all heard of this judgement crap. Well if I didn't ask to be created, which obviously none of us could have, by who or whatever and then I find out I have to go to hell I'm going to demand to be uncreated instead. Existence is what is surreal. There just really isn't any point to it

I'm scared too, but at the same time, the eternity that existed before I was born doesn't frighten me at all.

For me it's the opposite. The thoughts of what would happen after I die and what people would remember of me keep me around.

I mean it is kind of linked to your SI so it's normal to think that. :)
