Privelages are earned- surely? I suppose it depends on whether you think love can or even should be unconditional.

A basic level of respect should be on a equal opportunities basis- I agree with that. But surely love- romantic love anyway- is all about preference- surely? Whether that other person fulfils our needs and whether we in turn- fulfil theirs.

Some of us simply don't find that or, the match isn't particularly equal and, the relationship fails.

We reject people or, are rejected for a reason though. I can't exactly feel hostile towards people I've liked who don't reciprocate. I just wasn't right for them.
