Death Having a Negative Connotation Makes No Sense

We all die eventually anyway. We're simply going back to the state of oblivion we were in before. Existing in a perpetual state of suffering on the other hand IS negative. Death is just nothing. Sounds preferable to suffering.

For me death truly is the only relief, I see ceasing to exist as something very positive as it's the end of suffering in an existence so pointless and undesirable, I never would have wanted or chosen existence. I wish I just stayed permanently unaware instead, non-existence is all that's ideal to me, it also makes no sense to me when people act like death is so bad when in reality all that's bad is as a result of existence with nobody being able to be harmed by the absence of everything.
There are literally no disadvantages to not existing for all eternity yet no limit as to how much one can suffer as long as they exist, and that's why I see non-existence as always preferable. I'm tired of being burdened with this existence, being conscious and aware truly does just cause nothing but suffering, existence itself is the problem for me and death is the solution to it, I so envy those who cease existing.

Absolutely agree. It's just another part of existence, and the fact that my death will destroy people is odd. If suicide is selfish then wanting people to live for your own sake is selfish too

"Death is nothing to us. When we exist, death is not; and when death exists, we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death, there is awareness."
If anything, it's more life affirming if we accept death as a part of life and that qualify of life is more important than forced existence... Wow, that was a mouthful.
I think the reason is, this world is full of suffering, and you can't change anything. So a lot of people choose to delude themselves instead into thinking living is always a positive, that's probably why so many say that suffering is "necessary". The reality is that dead people cannot suffer.
