So this morning, I was sitting and out of nowhere. I decided to block my carotid arteries with my fingers. I basicaly placed two fingers on each carotid while tipping my head back and pressed them. After just five seconds, I started feeling dizzy and almost lost consciousness. It was such a crazy sensation. My whole body felt tingly... And boy that instantly reminded me of this device I saw a couple of years ago. It looked like a collar with two screws on each side that you could tighten to block the carotid arteries. I can't remember the exact name and haven't been able to find it online. Do you think we could design or create something like that?

Resource thread covers that. There were different design issues but in short same method. Simplest I believe was panty hose. A more heavily designed one involved bean bags st the pressure points. Its all there if you review the resource tab.

Yes I know that's the 'night night' method, but I was asking about a specific collar that has two screws on it (not the ratchet, not the panty hose) .I can't find it anywhere on the forum.

Indeed, the ratchet or the panty hose are not "sure". Many people failed because of them. Would be curious about the collar you talk about. More efficient, you think ? And if I understand right, you can breathe and there is no suffocation and damage at the trachea, just blood flow into the carotids is blocked.

Its basically a neck collar that wraps around the neck. It has a hole on each side for bolts to press on the carotid arteries

OK, I understand. By the way, you're lucky to manage what you do with your fingers only. It's not easy to find the carotids and even when found, it's difficult to feel a result using just the fingers. I tried but : nothing.

It would also work with inflation. For a mechanical engineer it is no problem to design such a device and built a prototyp.
