  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I read that suicide by inhaling helium gas is a painless method. I left my job today. I really cannot continue with life. The more I live, the more I become unstable and lash out at everyone around me. I live alone and I have no family or friends. When I receive my last salary, I am going to purchase a helium gas tank and inhale it. If I somehow survive that, I am royally screwed because I will be unemployed with no way to pay my rent and bills.

Yes, unfortunately it's a pretty technical method. You can't just inhale the gas. You need a setup for it. I do not have an idea how to do it myself. There are guides, but they aren't easy for me to follow. Maybe you'll have better luck.

I'm sorry for your situation Chelsey.

The helium tanks that are readily available to consumers are not pure enough to end your life. They contain roughly the same amount of oxygen as regular air, you'll just give yourself a nasty headache and a high pitched voice. Please don't try this

Omg thank you for telling me. I thought it was easy as 1,2,3. What if I'm assured by the seller it really is 100% helium?

Nitrogen is better. It's a complicated method but they say it's the best. You just have to spend one day or two studying it deeply. At first it can mess with your mind, because there are lots of things you have to keep in mind when it comes to the exit bag. There's a megathread about it and also information in that book called ''The peacefull pill''.

See if you can download a product data sheet. I've found some in the UK which is sold as 100% and the data sheet confirms it's 99.99% He.

Arguably Nitrogen or Argon are easier for the home consumer to purchase though for brewing or welding. Also, He has the bad rep for exit bags hence some suppliers regulating it to trade only.

Remember too that whilst all three are inert and would do the job, we breath 78% nitrogen permanently and it may be more natural and comfortable - my only personal experience of helium is squeaky voice from a party balloon.

The setup sounds far more complicated than it is. Read the megathread and ask any questions. Flow meter regulators and bags are available from Amazon as is hose. You need an Argon flow regulator that you can set for 21lpm (that's the conversion to use an Argon flow meter for 15lpm Nitrogen).

If you're in the US or the UK nitrogen/helium/argon all have the same thread. I believe some countries may have varying cylinder fittings.

I'm sorry you find yourself in this place, sometimes it helps just discussing an exit. I've had these thought for decades but I'm still here. Many members have even procured their full exit requisites and take solace just knowing they can CTB if they want to. The suicidal mind is complex and we're all different in how we function (or not).

Seriously though, check the inert gas mega thread, it's a mine of information.
