If you could die in an accident or some other way, what would it be? I dont want my grown kids to know I ctb and also have a suicide clause on life insurance policy that doesnt end until 2023. I dont know that I can endure this pain for that long.

Plus, if I'm lucky enough to die in accident, family will know they need to come for the dogs once they're notified.

I've thought of a few scenarios but dont want to put anyone in danger

I agree with not putting any innocent people in danger. I don't know. Investigators are pretty smart, nowadays. It better be a really good plan. Does ANYONE know that you may have suicidal tendencies? Currently, or in the past? Anyone?

I'm a deep sleeper. A deep sleeper, no joke. I've slept through fire alarms going off for 30+ minutes. I've slept through 2 earthquakes [I live in a very seismically active area]. Which brings me to the legitimate accidental death I wouldn't mind happening--

The quakes I slept through weren't horrendous, they were a 4 or 5 on the Richter scale. You'd definitely feel that, but there's no real damage done, maybe a lamp will fall over. But it would be kind of nice if The Big One hit [which it will happen eventually] while I was asleep and the house just collapsed on me and killed me without me waking up.

My entire family knows I've been severely depressed for several years but I havent talked about suicide

I wish I live around mountains and I'd just drive off a cliff at high speed but press the brakes on my way to look like I tried to stop

We have minimal earthquakes here and there but I always wake up to them. We do have tornadoes though and someday I hope one will wipe me out. I have a shelter but wont go in it because my dogs wont

Go hiking where there are bears and try to get a selfie with it lol just kidding of course, please don't do that.

I can't think of much but I did read that people that smoke pipes and get into a minor car accident that will set off the air bags, the air bag will shove the pipe through their neck and kill them. That's pretty iffy though depending on the angle when the bag pops.

A lot of rock climbers die every year from falling. Walking in a thunderstorm in an open area and get struck by lightning might work. You can't make lightning strike so if it did happen, it would have to be an accident, right?

You'd have to lock them up, not even possible in newer cars, and leave rubber on the road in order to look legit. Maybe would work on a rainy night around a hairpin turn or something, so long as family, friends, etc didn't know about suicidal tendencies. LE will interview family members, and who knows what family members will say. Personally, I think the best way to assure that a suicide (of the kind you're probably talking about, (not a wrist cut, or hanging, or something obviously suicide), is to be talking about some "type" of plans with people in your life ahead of time, have tickets purchased for a trip ahead of time, anything to make it look like you weren't intending to "cash out", so to speak. Have something, many things, for show, that shows that you wanted to stick around. As far as good scenarios for "accidents", honestly, I'm really drawing a blank at the moment. I've never really thought of this kind of thing before. I may in a day or so and will chime back in.

I've thought about it a lot. A friend of mine tried to wrap his car around a tree but it just left him in the hospital. Thought about telling everyone I'm planning to go to Utah for a while. There are tons of roads where there are twist and turns high in the mountains. I have a big accident plan on top of life insurance. None of them will pay if suicide right now. The accident plan would never pay for something deemed suicide. Idk, I suppose a pipe dream atm

Explosion so I don't have to feel any pain or be aware of what's happening. Or maybe a decapitation type death like in the final destination movies.

You could go to Colorado, lots of mountains with roads with no guardrails and sheer 1000 foot drops, pretty easy to ctb there

If you haven't already done this, or others don't already know or suspect what you may or may not do, telling people opens up a new can of worms which could be detrimental to any plans you may have.

Recently I have been thinking about the drowning method, as there is limited options for me to ctb and that can be thought of as an accidental death. However, I would personally rather have my death be thought of as a suicide and it does not matter to me how others would view my death as I will not be alive at that point.

If you have the money and ability to do so; Go on holiday to Paris, go to the top of the Eiffel tower, lean to 'get the right photo' and "accidentally" fall down

All of my ideas are in this thread: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...-so-that-it-looks-like-a-natural-death.88023/

Personally, I think I'm going to drink N while laying on my surfboard - it'll just look like drowning.

Do they make ut that easy? No safeguards?

I went on holiday to spain so I dont know much about Paris but all the high places I went to were unguarded, if I really wanted to I could have easily fell by 'accident' although I didnt mainly because I am really scared of heights. Instead of going to the Eiffel tower you could look up other tall buildings, there's a giant Roman castle in Malaga Spain which is far high when you get to the top of the place, you can also jump or fall off very easily if you're determined or careless. /edit: I just said Eiffel tower due to it being VERY big very little chance of failure and all the photos of the top doesnt seem to show any guards although since I never went there in person I dont really know if this is still the case

If you're OK with the thought of falling, I know for a fact that there are no safeguards in most parts of the Grand Canyon - super easy to fall "accidentally."

I guess falling by car or just falling is the same. I'm sure either way it is going to hurt

I imagine death is instant if the height is tall enough and you actually die. You'll probably feel something for like a few milliseconds. If you somehow survive, you'll likely be crippled for life and in an even worse position than before you "fell", which means you don't get to make a second attempt.

If you are trying to scam insurance please know you will fail. I know how these guys work and they have teams of people trying to raise even a muttering of suicide and they will not payout. They will do investigations over months even years just to save a claim. Your family wont benefit, please bide your time with these things, otherwise our special people might end up getting hurt by our actions

I guess I just think of possibly hitting stuff on my way down. And you're right on the complications of survival. I believe if I "fall" I will want to make sure It's a sure thing

I have thought of "accidently" eating poisonous plants or berries. Or choking from eating apples stupidly. Judging by how little I think ahead, it would seem like I just did something dumb again to people.

It's really hard to make it seem accidental now days. I thought about driving off cliffs or drowning but I would all look suspicious.

Rodrigo Rosenberg - Guatemalan Attorney arranged his own assassination. The story is all over the place, but Mr.Ballen tells the story pretty well.
