Dark web thingy

Hi all,

Long time lurker not much posted.

I know I don't bring much to the party, especially recently but I see the site is now private and talk of moving to the dark web. I watched the video of the US news report and it made me feel dirty. To think 'outsiders' or 'normies' have been reading and judging my thoughts and comments - urgh, makes me feel like I'm in the mental health system again!!

I have not a single clue on the dark web and other such things so if it does move, admin will need to remove my account. (Admins - don't want to delete my thread and mess with the flow but please see my edit below)

I will miss you all immensely and wish you all the best but I'm not sure I have the brain capacity to figure it all out. So, yeah - thanks NYT and other pro-life fuckers. Sweep that support cloth from under me. Cheers.

P.s. I'm not being paranoid and I know it hasn't happened and I sincerely hope it doesn't but I need to put this out there just in case it does. Thanks again.

I cannot imagine how it must feel for some of the longtime members to have their safe space dragged through the mud the way the media has done recently.

However, while it may not outweigh the damage done by the NYT article, for what it's worth, a few of us (myself included) found this very special place BECAUSE of that article. Again, I'm not saying that is enough to counter balance all the damage the article has caused.

Either way, I'm grateful to be able to lurk in a community of people who have the same sorts of thoughts that I do and I sincerely hope the crusaders don't "sweep the support cloth from under" us.

Hi and welcome - my apologies if that came across wrong, Im not judging anyone on how or when they come here. I hate the exposure to scared people who don't understand, judge incorrectly and cause havoc in their knee jerk reactions. Treating the symptoms and not the cause is why the MH system is so messed up.

No no, I don't think you came across wrong at all. I think your concern is totally understandable and I also worry that the very publicity that brought me here might also take this community away. I definitely do not want to invalidate your feelings!

And not to hijack.. but thank you for your welcome. I found this website to be NOTHING like how the NYT described. What I've seen so far is beautiful and free and supportive (in CHOICE) and I really hope that SS can weather this media storm... not that hope is in high supply these days.

And don't even get me started on the failures of the MH system...

Is it not just a case of getting the Tor browser, and then typing in the urls the same as you would on the World wide web?
If not, I haven't got a clue how to use the dark web either!

Before continuing, I want to add that the dark web is quite simple to use. Marktheghost has put it how it works quite well.

Getting to the point...

The reality is this site is set to fail because of a lack of proper leadership. We don't have Marquis with us anymore.

I messaged a mod/admin (don't know the difference is between the two) regarding the dark web. I asked for one simple thing is the resource tab's content to be shared with me. This way, I will have a base to start a dark web website. I can share it there on a simple message board template and that may lead to a proper dark web forum such as this.


I have still yet to get a response from the moderator and it goes to show how they don't give a flying fuck.

I was ready to put down a small payment to get it working for a month and maybe with donations we could keep the site running for longer but apparently, I don't have any support.

Sure these mods can change the forum rules and hide certain threads but don't expect anything else. They are sheep.

Do you really think this site has a future here? Let us assume this site closes down (as it has before but we had Marquis create a new domain) then what? We would have no way of getting the community back together with these mods around who do not know how to take initiative.
