I'm thinking about coming off my meds after 10 years since I don't think they do anything for me anymore but I've heard terrible things about the withdrawl symptoms of this med. I take 60mg per day…does anyone have advice or experience coming off this med?

Reduce the dosage slowly over time. I definitely don't recommend going off this drug cold turkey. I was a long time Cymbalta user myself and made that very mistake. Ended up having brain zaps, vivid nightmares and constant sweating for 2 months.

take it slow, the withdrawal from this med is nasty. it took me 1-2 weeks to feel normal again.

Please be very careful with Cymbalta especially after long-term use at the highest dose. This requires hyperbolic tapering.

This site will provide you with information:

There are also Cymbalta groups on Facebook if you are active there.
