life is getting ruff man, i wish it wasn't like this. I do believe happiness exist. just not for me.Severing a major artery would be death pretty quickly according purely to the biology.
Saying that though I would absolutely not recommend it. Cutting just sounds painful and messy. Also I image it's hard to make yourself cut deep enough to guarantee.
A few months ago I was really drunk and held a knife to my neck. Wasn't really am attempt i just got really down while drinking.
Still want to be dead but I'm glad I didn't try to get there by cutting.

It seems it's rather difficult to just do it, given that these wounds are typically surrounded by hesitation marks and how uncommon it is, and the cut needs to be pretty deep, but...
It depends on the cut. It could take minutes to bleed out done optimally to a major artery. Smaller injuries could take hours. Very painful until you pass out.
Success rate is very variable as well depending on the injury you inflict, and whether you are going to get up and take yourself to the hospital (or someone will take you) if you fuck up. You can find descriptions of the incision if you search papers, there are some publicly available - and there are things that protect your arteries, hence the need for a very deep cut.
Hanging seems vastly preferable. It's very hard to imagine a person for whom hanging wouldn't be an option but cutting their throat would be, unless they were fine with any other unreliable and painful method too. Why is hanging not an option for you? If it's that it's technical, this method is not for you. If it's that you can't have time alone, this method is not for you.

what if i keep stabbing? My adrenaline is going to be fucking going. should i slit my wrists also?I wouldn't advise anyone to try cutting themselves. There are more reliable and less painful methods

I've heard its nearly impossible to kill yourself through exsanguination, especially in the throat. The survival instinct is too strong. Ive cut a wrist deep enough, felt my heart pump hard to make up for it. With each pump your brain says "Youre an idiot. " No thanks man. I'd reccomend another option

Most common ones tick the more reliable box (notably, trying to kill yourself with an overdose with random pills is probably more unreliable) and nearly all of them tick the less painful box (fire doesn't).

Sounds like one of the worst ways to die! I actually seen a couple videos were people tried to do that. They ended up slowly strangling to death on their own blood.

H2S
Partial hanging
There are probably more I would be ok with doing if I looked into them but that is my list. If I take care with what I am doing I shouldn't get past number 1 anyway.

Nicking the artery with a razor should be extremely effective and quick. However this is one method I know that I don't have the balls for.
sounds like a terribly painful way to go but if someone tried it you have to make sure to be alone and get the arteries you screw it up you might be looking at severe brain damage and have to live like that you won't be able to try again I wouldn't do it if I were you

If you do it full force in think it would work but will be painful.you could set up a chainsaw in a vice trigger taped or zip tied full on and drop your neck on the chainsaw electric would be best you don't want to get carbon monoxide poisoning oh and don't forget a padded bucket for the headArteries are quite deep in and require cutting through several layers of muscle. Sounds very painful.Similar threads
