Today I only made 5 small cuts with a razor just so I can feel a little sting and blood gently flow down my arm! just small one's today...
Even though afterwards, the cuts sting! or hurt, I enjoy the feeling, I enjoy the way it hurts! It's odd, but it feels like I'm in control when I'm doing it...
It's my release from my Bipolar warped mind, then I go back to being a "normal mam & wife" with nobody knowing my little secret...

Pain can sometimes feel good.
How strange is that :D

I'm sorry you felt the need to do this. Please be careful. Self harm is a slippery slope, and it only gets harder to stop the longer you do it.

Thank you, but I'm sure I'm able to keep it under control. Just a feel good thing to do when I'm having my down days.

When I started cutting recently for the first time, I was shocked at how much of a relief it felt when doing it. I assumed it would feel awful, but it really does help.

It clears the mind? That's how it's like for me sometimes.

Yes that's exactly what it does, clears the mind! and the after sting or pain from the cuts, help even more with taking away the pain from everything else I'm dealing with.

Perfect description. Be careful though, it's become an addiction for me.

I love cutting. Full on love it.

Ever since I was "caught," it's been different. I just realized today it's the constant stress of cat and mouse and hiding and fear of discovery.

Before anyone knew, they had nothing to be suspicious about. Now everything I do is questionable.

I just want to cut freely again, bleed freely, and change my bandages at my leisure.

I'd just say be careful.
I did it for many years, and recently did it again after having not for 4 years.
I've got nerve damage from it. I needed stitches for a few but never got them looked at so the scars are obvious and noticeable.
The scars not so much a worry, but I've had a doctor ask me about them before. I'd just say the nerve damage is the pain in the butt, I gave myself what I call dead spots because I feel nothing.
I know what it's like to just feel the urge to cut or burn and the relief when you finally do, just be careful and don't do what I did. It's more difficult to deal with than it sounds.

I have hundreds of scars. I'm good at it. Cutting is my thing.

I'm used to nerve damage, fat cuts, disfigured arms, bleeding out, etc.

My biggest fear is hitting a tendon or severing a nerve so severely I lose function of my arm. After every cut the first thing I do is check I can still move all my fingers.

When I was in mental care, other teens showed me that we could use rubber bands. I put it on as a bracelet and I started constantly slapping my wrist. The small stinging felt nice. Cleared my depressive thoughts to focus on the pain. Kept slapping until blood vessels started showing.

When I got out, I attempted to cut deeply however I cut horizontal so now I just have a deep scar. I've read it's painful to bleed to death from slitting. But it was a nice feeling so I can relate to you and all others on that.

I don't cut anymore. I've always had the urge to start again but for now, I was just reminiscing.

I like the blood more than the cutting... I want injury but I like to lose as much blood as possible. I can't have cuts do to my job, so I usually use other methods to release a bit of self hate and tension in the form of blood
