There is a very famous song by Sia that I have always wondered if it was about suicide, from what I have read it doesn't seem to be the official explanation but in my opinion it talks about suicide but being a mainstream song perhaps they wanted to avoid bringing up such a sensitive topic, Sia herself suffered from depression and was suicidal for a while so I'd say there's not much mystery at the end, I think it's the most famous song about suicide at this point along with Chop Suey by SOAD.

Party girls don't get hurt
Can't feel anything, when will I learn
I push it down, I push it down

I'm the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, ring up my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

One, two, three, one, two, three drink
One, two, three, one, two, three drink
One, two, three, one, two, three drink

Throw 'em back, 'til I lose count

I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cause I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I'm a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame

One, two, three, one, two, three drink
One, two, three, one, two, three drink
One, two, three, one, two, three drink

Throw 'em back 'til I lose count

On for tonight, on for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight, on for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
'Cause I'm just holding on for tonight
Oh, I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight, on for tonight

Swinging from the chandelier at this point is a clear hint at the hanging method as well as flying like a bird in the night at the defenestration, so this song even goes into detail talking about methods, I would say it is the most famous suicidal song ever.

I also just realized that the image of the song represents two bodies which, even if they are on the ground, are in a pendulum position like the bodies of the hanged ones, I would say that at this point I no longer have any doubts.

Obviously it doesn't just talk about suicide, it is the chorus that talks about it, but also about alcoholism and the depression that comes after hedonistic excess.

It does sound like more about escapism than suicide but I like your interpretation of "hanging" on the chandelier.

In the end its about destroying your life one way or another.
