For awhile the story of Ota Benga has been on my mind. This Mbuti congonese man had his community ripped apart by colonization and his family killed in that process. He lived a tragic life after that, being brought to america, made to live in a zoo and such. Later in his life he would commit to the act of killing himself with a pistol, shooting himself through the heart after making a ceremonial fire.
I bought a shotgun a few years ago, but I deciding against that particular firearm because it seemed too traumatizing to anyone who would find me and my family. I'm turning 21 soon so I'm wondering if I should just go and grab a pistol, some alcohol and benzo and CTB somewhere heavily forested. I've always heard stories of firearm survivors who aimed for their head but what about the chest area? would I survive? be paralyzed?
